This guide will cover the new World arena / RTA including observed numerical values for the battle frenzy stages, draft strategy and an overview of the cast, looking at individual heroes, teams as well as generic archetypes and their roles within the meta. The new World Arena requires that the player be of rank 60 and anyone attempting to compete should have a decent number of relevant heroes built to consistently be able to pick and counter pick effectively.

Battle Frenzy

The battle frenzy mechanic has been implemented in order to prevent overly long matches and stalls in world arena. To combat this, battle frenzy makes 3 changes to the stats of each hero after a certain number of turns have passed.

• Maximum HP% decreases as stages increase
• Damage increases as a proportion as stages increase
• Healing decreases as a proportion as stages increase

After doing some testing in RTA I have done some calculations and created a table listing the value changes with each battle frenzy stage.

I recorded values for up to battle frenzy stage 8 as the vast vast majority will end before that and I simply one shot my opponent. The frequency of battle frenzy increase has a very strange pattern.

From testing, I found that battle frenzy increased roughly every 8 turns (that being the strong modal average). However, I haven’t been able to concretely determine the pattern for battle frenzy stage increases.

Something to note with the healing decrease is that practically all heals are based upon either the maximum HP of the target or the caster, and so healing will decrease dramatically with the drop in maximum HP of all heroes multiplied by the drop in healing.

This means that late turn stalls are very weak but for the first 3 turns there is no penalty to healing at all therefore being able to decide matches early is essential for healing / stalling teams. Lifesteal set or Sigurd Scythe do however perform sufficiently well in the late game as although healing and maximum hp have tanked, damage dealt will have increased significantly.

The opposing team has too little damage and deals poorly with A. Coli’s stealth mechanic. Hence, the extremely highly damaging team on the left eliminates them as battle frenzy increases.

The Battle Frenzy values show how significantly damage increases as well as how healing and hp decreases as time passes. Taking a composition with too much healing or damage reduction, e.g. Angelica or Crimson Armin, without good enough bruisers / damage will lead to an inevitable loss.

For example, the RHS player has nowhere near enough damage compared to the LHS and as battle frenzy builds he inevitably loses.

Draft Strategy, Hero limitations and Game Theory

Drafting strategy is definitely the most impactful stage of a match of World Arena and in any individual draft there is a winner and a loser. The pick / ban system can be viewed as a generic zero sum game which can create complex ideas and situations in any given match which we will analyze later. 

Update: In the current system, you get 1 global ban and your enemy gets 1 as well.

When you queue for a match, you should have a strategy in mind which you want to try to execute in battle. This could be cleave, bruisers or ‘stall’ etc. You must consider what heroes are important to your strategy, what roles you have to fill in order to be successful and what heroes your opponent may try to counter you with.

The most clear cut example of this idea is with cleave setups. Cleave requires 2 fundamental roles to be filled in order to function, this being a CR pusher and a damage dealer.

In theory, you can cleave every match by picking 2 CR boosters and 2 damage dealers as your opponent can only ban a singular hero. Your opponent however can and will have draft counterplay and in order to try and win the draft, both you and your opponent have a few options.

Firstly, your opponent can only attempt to counter pick if they know what strategy you are attempting to execute. This gives us our first manner of protecting our strategy, and that is to deny our opponent of the certainty that we want to cleave, reserving our ability to turn into another strategy in later picks.

For example, picking BBK and Tywin clearly shows your intent to cleave as you lack the ability to switch to another viable strategy, unlike a more flexible pick such as ML Lots and Arbiter Vildred. Both of these heroes perform well individually and fit into archetypes other than cleave. This creates difficulty in our opponents ability to counter pick cleave, our intended strategy.

However, we need to consider our opponents picks and determine what that changes about our situation. These picks will fall into one of a few categories:

• Must ban
• Counter pick
• Proactive pick
• Chance pick

Must ban heroes are characters that you don’t have a hope to win against, whether that be because of heroes you already picked, the heroes you own / have built or Arbiter Vildred/s.

Counter picks can be one of 3 different types, being natural, hard and denial. Natural counters are picks that proactively further your strategy while countering your opponents.

Hard counters are direct picks targeting a specific strategy or hero and will almost always be disadvantaged against other strategies. These picks are vulnerable if we are able to switch our strategy mid draft and is why picking flexibly allows us to protect our strategy from hard counter picks.

Denial is the idea of picking a certain hero so that your opponent will not be able to. This applies both for recognised strategies and generally over tuned characters e.g. SSB or ML Vildred but also could be denying your opponent ML Lots.

Proactive picks solely further their strategy and have somewhat of a disregard for your opponents team and will tend to be high in utility and flexible e.g. Charles. Finally, chance picks are simply rng reliant ideas such as challenging the speed of your opponent for a win.

As each player picks heroes, their ability to change strategies will decrease exponentially and so the player who can understand and effectively counter their opponents strategy will be able to win the draft.

However, hero limitations will affect every player and this will limit the strategies that each player will be able to adopt, how effectively they are able to recover from denial picks and whether they can come up with a counter to their opponents strategy.

We have to play around our own boxes strengths and weaknesses and try not to lead our opponent to pick heroes we cannot counteract. However, we have to remember epic seven is not perfectly balanced and by considering the meta we can use and try to counteract the strongest theoretical strategies.

The ban is the final stage of the draft and both players 5 characters are locked in and revealed, at which point each player bans a singular hero from their opponent at the same time and then is displayed and the battle begins. At this point we have perfect information and becomes either a clear cut choice or we have to guess your opponents ban.

In the case that you or you opponent have a forced ban, the situation is very simple and that player will ban that hero and then their opponent will have ‘perfect’ information and can therefore pick optimally (note this can be offset by variation in hero stats / builds).

Although, depending on our opponents ban our optimal ban may change and so we enter a guessing game in hopes of attaining an advantage in team composition. Suppose a situation with each of player 1 and 2 having 2 possible bans and therefore 2 possible teams.

We will name these teams 1A, 1B, 2A and 2B. From this we can predict expected win rates for each team, just rough matchup expectations in our head and attempt to balance the odds. Here is a generic table for this simplified 2 ban situation:

This works as a good way to quantify which player has the advantage by the end of hero selection. Obviously, both players want a matchup where they expect their team to come out on top. Therefore, each player will logically tend to lean towards the team with the higher average win rate.

At this point, we can estimate a Nash equilibrium (this will almost always be mixed, even in rough predictions) and try to pick towards it. Here are a couple links exploring this idea further, although keep in mind these aren’t particularly related to epic seven:

This is a draft where the blue player is forced to ban Maid Chloe, and the red player knows this and bans Charles to make his team safe from random counters as ¾ of his team becomes vulnerable.

Sadly, not all epic seven players are perfectly rational strategic minds and it is up to each person to estimate the human aspects in their drafts and make decisions, similar in fashion to fighting games.

One more thing to add is that when picking a hero you can show your opponent a hero (in addition to you player portrait), displaying to them you own them, have them levelled and can pick them. It can fake your intent for a certain strategy and bait your opponent into poor denial picks and present threat by changing available information but if done on accident you can simply have your heroes taken away, I know for a fact this has happened to me.

RTA Tier List

Here is an ordered tier list including much of the hero pool in epic seven, with some exclusions either because they fulfill a role extremely similar in nature to another hero or simply aren’t relevant picks. Keep in mind that this is mostly speculation, only my opinion (which is subject to change) and the heroes on the list are all viable in some ways.

Each of these heroes are rated towards their ability to be useful picks in the right situations not necessarily blind picks, although the top tier heroes do fit this criteria.

The RTA meta has seemed to shape very similarly to regular arena defence with some additional options with the manual control of heroes. Expect to encounter a lot of SSB, Charles, Arbiter Vildred, Basar etc. in almost all of your matches.

These heroes will continue to dominate the meta until major changes come in as they are tough to punish and can close out games quickly. Picking and denying your opponent these heroes will tend to be the most optimal route as they are honestly very overtuned.

Currently, I believe the counter meta will persist as the strongest strategy as it does in regular arena, and these mid range ideas will make the majority of drafts. Seaside Bellona, Charles and ML Ken will make for the primary damage dealers you will find.

Cleave will definitely see play with how effective Basar is right now but does face trouble against assassins and teams with good recovery and damage reduction. The tools are definitely there to have this function well and will often be optimal strategy in a draft.

The ability to ban heroes makes set play difficult to and is why bringing lots of utility on a specific hero is especially valuable e.g. ML Lots.  Hence, for the majority of the player base playing solid heroes close to the meta will be the most effective strategy available.

The S tier heroes all have the strongest kits in the game and we need to look out for them and take as many of them as we can and we need to be able to counter them as you will be forced to fight them.

Arbiter Vildred

Arbiter Vildred is without a doubt one of the best heroes in the game but after his nerf, him alone is not enough to dish out enough damage to take down teams covered by tanks. The best way to deal with him is to simply tank the damage and not allow him his turn 1 so that he is only safe to attack once. The reason he takes the top spot over the other S tiers is how oppressive he is against squishy heroes, making them irrelevant if he is not banned and so is often a must ban.

ML Vildred will do too much damage and chip down the red player, especially paired with Cartuja, and we can assume the red side player planned to ban him which allowed the blue player to take Judge Kise for cleave as a last pick.

Seaside Bellona

Seaside Bellona is definitely the most overpowered hero in the game. You can’t really go wrong with her and she is incredibly difficult to counter. The best way to fight them is to ban them or pick them yourself, but if you do let her into the battle do your best to kill them asap.

Maid Chloe

While Maid Chloe would typically be a better pick than Ruele, but the fact that you can ban her makes picking her with a highly damaging squishy team vulnerable and so loses the ability to bring the same threat as otherwise. Countering the revivers will require you to either decide the match early, be able to hard cc them or tank the incoming damage.

Auxiliary Lots

Basar

Assassin Cidd

Aux Lots and Basar both will typically have the highest speed that player has and can be countered by both assassins, especially ML Cidd as he will take the souls from them. Assassins are often what they will ban and you can plan around that. Both of them are able to have very significant impact even after the first turn and are high priority to kill if possible.

Charles

Charles will randomly kill characters as he has incredible multipliers and S1 -> S2 proc rate with the exclusive equipment. He also brings attack buff, AoE damage, defence buffs himself and dispels. Dealing with him effectively needs hard cc, one shotting but all the fire bruisers duel him with ease.

Martial Artist Ken

ML Ken can solo teams, but tend to be built much more towards damage than HP now and so one shotting him, especially with battle frenzy, is much easier. Again, he is weak to hard cc but tend to have immunity so try to deal with the rest of his team before him as his turns aren’t particularly potent, then try to one shot him as battle frenzy builds.

Conclusion

The World Arena meta looks to be very similar to regular arena defence with the same heroes being the most dominant, with some additions with manual control e.g. A. Lots. Draft strategy will depend on your hero pool / ‘strategies’ and you should consider your opponents counter picks and make some of your own. Try to anticipate your opponent’s ban by considering proposed utility of each of the possible matchups and most importantly, have fun! (Ideally, by spamming the laughing Ras emote in a winning situation)

Welcome to the re-roll guide for Epic Seven. Now that the game has been out for over 6 months, it is time to reflect and see what are some of the top units you should look out for to get a good start in the game.

How to Re-roll

A progression guide for 2022 is written here if you want an updated version.

The whole re-roll process is really easy. You start the game, go along with the tutorial. Then at stage 1-4, you will get to summon for the first time. You will usually get a 3 star character. You will then want to get to stage 1-10, which will unlock selective summons.

The selective summon will allow you to re-roll up to 30 times, and this will be your chance to get a nice roll to start the game. Ideally, you want to roll a 5 star DPS/Farmer alongside a 4 star healer. That would be the best case scenario. However, you don’t always get it and it can take a long time before you get a roll like that.

The selective summon can only drop the original group of Nat 5 characters:

This whole process to story mode 1-10 takes roughly 30 minutes to complete. So if you are patient and you are willing to do it many times, you will eventually get some decent rolls to start out.

Before we head to the characters recommended, keep in mind to play however you like. These are just recommendations. You can still complete the game without any of these heroes. Some just make your life easier. Also, these recommendations are in no particular order.

Vildred is the fastest fodder farmer once you get his attack and speed up to a good level. His skill set is setup to trigger multiple AoE attacks in quick succession. His S3 is a strong AoE attack with a rather short animation. His S1 hits 2 enemies at once. His S2 is the passive that activates an AoE attack to all enemies when you kill an enemy. This makes him perfect for farming as long as you can 1 shot a monster.

Sez is one of the best fodder farmers and raw DPS damage dealer. His S3 is a strong single target attack that deals lots of damage. It then explodes the targeted enemy and spreads the damage to surrounding enemies for AoE damage. His S1 can inflict unhealable debuff and his S2 is a passive that triggers an AoE attack when you damage an enemy to less than 50% health.

He is also a great DPS for the arena (Sez Cleave) and raid on certain bosses, so his use is not just limited to farming. His S3 also has a good damage multiplier when you use soul burn, doing tonnes of damage.

Uses: Healer, Tank, Abyss, Arena, Guild Wars

Destina is a great tank healer. All 3 of her skills can heal. Her S1 heals an ally with the lowest health. Adding soul burn gives the entire team a nice heal. Her S2 is a single target heal and some combat readiness. Her S3 is a strong team heal + debuff cleanse. The more debuffs she cleanses, the more combat readiness everyone gets.

The only downside is the long cooldown on her S3 (can be solved using Prophet Candlestick). Other than that, she is a solid tank that will help you in all areas of PvE content, particularly Abyss floors where enemies hit like a truck.

In PvP, she is also very strong in end game (Challenger+) against debuffers. For non PvP players, Destina may not be the best pick out of the nat 5 group.

Abyss 80

Uses: Tank, Farmer, Abyss, Wyvern 10/11, Golem 10/11, Arena, Guild Wars

Fire Ken is one of the best bruisers available to you right at the start. He scales well with health, crit rate and crit damage. You can build him as a tanky bruiser or raw damage dealer.

He offers defense debuff, which is one of the best debuffs in the game. Both his first and second skill can apply defense debuff, which is rare. What makes him powerful is that while under his vigor buff, his defense debuff cannot be resisted, which makes him viable against water units!

His third skill gives him vigor buff for 4 turns, stuns the enemy and applies attack down debuff. His kit is too good to pass up especially for carrying you to late game.

The only downside is that Ken needs to gain fighting spirit before being able to use his skill 3.

Lady Iseria is more of a utility DPS support that improves everyone on your team. Her first skill applies defense break, her second skill resets ally cooldown, allowing them to use their most powerful skills again.

Her third skill dispels enemy buff, applies defense break and anti-buff debuff. It is one of the best skills in the game alongside her skill 2. Her skillset is pretty much future proof and cannot be power-creeped.

Some example deadly combos in game are Iseria + Tamarinne, Iseria + Dark Corvus or Iseria + Watcher Schuri.

Uses: Raid, Abyss, Wyvern 10/11, Arena, Guild Wars

Tywin was not popular until it got buffed and his skill 3 now has 100% chance to defense break groups of enemies. With him being a Knight with AoE and he can hold Aurius, Tywin brings a lot of utility to your team. He can also dispel buff on his skill 1.

His skill 2 is a bit unique and can be used for boosting slow but hard hitting attackers to the front. It gives them an attack buff + critical rate buff, then boosts their combat readiness, allowing them to go next. This allows you to build a very strong attacker and focus on attack and critical damage stat. Any big nuker like Ludwig or Sez will benefit from this. They are built slow and high damage to take advantage of this.

And last but not least, he is one of the few characters that can allow you to 3 man Wyvern 11.

Recommended Character Rolls (4 Stars)

Uses: Healer, Tank, Abyss, Wyvern 10/11, Golem 10/11, Banshee 10/11, Arena, Guild Wars

A great healer (I will say she carries pretty much any unit on your team) that offers debuff immunity. Once you get her, your life in PvE becomes so much easier. Her S1 can stun an enemy, which is useful in some situations such as the Abyss towers where monsters have a lot of damage and a clutch stun helps prevent you from taking damage. Her S2 is a strong heal that can target up to 2 allies.

Her most useful skill is definitely her S3. It provides a 2 turn team debuff immunity + barrier and heal. When you soul burn it, the debuff immunity becomes 4 turns. When you skill enhance it to get the -1 cooldown, her skill cooldown becomes 4 turns, pretty much giving you full debuff immunity at ALL times. This is invaluable in PvE content.

She used to be a top unit to re-roll for, but with the emergence of Angelic Montmorancy, she is not a must have.

Uses: Farmer, Banshee 10/11, Golem 10/11, Arena, Guild Wars

Cidd is a beast as a strong single target damage dealer. What makes him shine is his insane potential to one shot enemies in the arena and get extra turns for killing someone. Most people don’t know about his potential so you want to build him up early on as your fodder farmer + arena offense member. Like Vildred, he scales with speed and attack.

His S1 grants him attack speed when he crits. His S2 is a passive that grants him defense debuff + bonus damage on his S1. His S3 is a single target burst damage that gives him an extra turn if he kills the enemy. The thing is his S3 will give him elemental advantage WHEN he as the speed buff. That means he can kill fire units easily when the speed buff is up.

He does really well with Roozid, Yuna or Silk since they offer speed buffs. The good thing is all of these units are obtainable for F2p!

Uses: Farmer, Wyvern 10/11, Banshee 10/11, Azimanak 10/11, Arena, Guild Wars

Clarissa is a bit underrated and not talked about much compared to Cidd or any of the 4 star healers. She is like the budget version of Sez. She does not do as much single target damage as Sez, but she provides a lot of AoE and utility with her bleeding stacks.

Her S1 provides defense debuff, which is very useful in all areas of the game. Her S2 is a passive that gives her enraged buff (30% attack + speed increase buff) and an additional AoE attack when she kills an enemy. Her S3 is an AoE attack that applies 1 bleed stack to the enemy. She is viable as a fodder farmer once you get her attack and crit rate up to a decent level. She also shines in the arena with her kill reset AoE damage. She can also be part of your Wyvern team with her defense debuff and bleed stacks.

Uses: Healer, Tank, Abyss, Wyvern 10/11, Golem 10/11

Achates is a support healer with spammable skills on low cooldowns. Her S1 can apply attack down debuff, which reduces enemy damage output. Her S2 provides barrier (invincibility when upgraded) to an ally. This is a life saver in certain situations when you want to save an ally from dying. The downside is that the heal is very low.

Her S3 is by far her best skill. A 3 turn (when skill enhanced) AoE cleanse + decent heal will give you team consistent heals. She does well as a frontline tank healer or a backline support. She shines in Abyss where she prevents exploding mushrooms killing your team.

Achates in Abyss

Notable 3 Stars

While you will get them eventually after playing the game for a while, it is useful to have them early on to help speed up your early game progress.

Angelic Montmorancy

With her recent specialty change, she is a very good option as a cleanser and support healer if you are unable to get Angelica. She has high base defense and can help cleanse debuffs efficiently, especially after you specialty change her to Angelic Montmorancy.

When you get to higher Abyss Floors, debuff immunity becomes valuable and she can help fill that void to help you there.

F. Kluri

Falconer Kluri

Falconer Kluri lost some of her value since the nerf, but she is still viable early game to help you progress in the game. Her dispel, defense break and provoke doesn’t do damage, so it won’t miss against ice units, but it will still need to go through the resistance check. That means she can strip buffs, apply defense break and provoke key units for 2 turns, which is very valuable still, especially early game and Abyss.

Hazel

Mascot Hazel

If you need an attack buffer, particularly for fire units, then she fits the role. She can heal, apply heal block and provide attack buff. The specialty changed Hazel can give greater attack buff, which is good if you have a strong fire DPS.

Lena

Lena

Lena is a useful water DPS that can help you farm just like Vildred. She has a short skill 3 animation and her skill 2 gives you 65% base crit rate when maxed. That makes her easy to build -> stack critical damage to 300% with about 2.5k+ attack and she can one shot a lot of non wind monsters.

The only downside is that she can’t farm wind maps as efficiently. Definitely a budget farmer.

Chaos Sect Axe

One of the best ML nat 3 you can summon from your ML bookmarks. His specialty change makes him one of the best attackers/bruisers you can have in your team. Since he is dark, he won’t “miss”. He also has defense break, attack down debuff and bleed in his kit.

While all these nat 3 units aren’t game breaking, they do help you in your journey to end game.

Conclusion

Welcome to the MolaGora guide! The MolaGora is a skill enhancement material that you use to improve your character’s skills. Early on, it isn’t too important, but as you progress through the game, this becomes more vital as certain characters get power spikes from improved skills.

Getting MolaGoras/MolaGoraGos as F2P

There are quite a few ways to get Molagora and MolagoraGo. They can be gotten from a few places. Sometimes special events will give you a few. But the more permanent spots to get them are:

• Transmit Stone Shop -> 30 for 2 MolaGora Weekly
• Conquest Point Shop -> 150 for 1 MolaGora Seed Weekly
• Guild Shop -> 150 for 1 MolaGora Seed Weekly

You will need to plant the seed in your Sanctuary to turn them into Molagoras. You can also now exchange 4 Molagoras for 1 MolagoraGo. So your weekly Molagora income would be 3.

There are also other places you can get them once. These will most likely be used on your most important characters first.

These come occasionally and you get 1 free Molagora (usually once a month).

World Difficulty Mode

After completing the entire chapter in World Mode, you can get a MolaGora Seed. You will be getting a total of 16 Molagora seeds for completing World Difficulty Mode.

Special Events or Story Events (Exchange Shop)

In new special events such as new characters or collabs, you will have a chance to earn some more MolaGora seeds from the event shop. So far, the game has given us 1 obtainable MolaGora seed per side story. In a month, usually we will be given 2 side stories.

Daily Login

You get 2 Molagoras a month on day 12th and 26th out of the 28 day rotation.

Queen Azumashik Gift

For 4 tokens, you can get a 15% chance to receive a MolaGora seed from the the normal Raid Labyrinth shop. Worth a gamble if you need them fast!

Adventurer Progression

The new adept adventurer progression gives 7 molagoras.

Molagora F2P Summary

On a monthly basis, you get:

• 2 Molagora Seeds from daily login reward
• 2 Molagora Seeds from side stories
• 1 Molagora from Special Event
• 4 Molagora (from Tower)

So each month, your molagora gain is 24.

To fully max out a character’s skill (on average) you will need the following number of Molagoras:

• 3 Stars ~ 36 Molagoras
• 4 Stars ~ 39 Molagoras
• 5 Stars ~ 48 Molagoras

It varies from character to character. To get the exact number, you will have to look at the individual character.

So, technically, you would need about 2.5 months to fully max out a character’s skills after you have used up all your one time only Molagoras. That is why it is so important to only use it on characters you use often and like very much.

Prioritising Your MolaGoras for Key Characters

This will depend on where you are at the game. I recommend this when starting out:

1. Skill enhance your farmer/dog walker first
2. Get key -1 turn cooldowns on your healers
3. Get -1 turn cooldowns for your supports/cleansers
4. Max out your top DPS unit (can also be your farmer)
5. Skill up any unit you like or use often

This way, you will be able to utilise those MolaGoras without feeling like you wasted them on units you do not use at all.

For example, for me personally, I have spread out my skill enhancements for the following units:

My Dog Walker (Clarissa) +8

+5 on skill 1 for the 50% defense break, +3 for the 1 turn cooldown for skill 3.

My Single Target DPS Luna +14

I plan to max her out next week. She is my PvP and wyvern 11 DPS.

Support Healer Achates +7

She has skill 1 +4 for the 50% attack down debuff and +3 on skill 3 for the -1 turn cooldown on team cleanse. She is my team cleanse heal tank for normal raid and golem 11.

Utility DPS Carmainerose +6

I don’t use her anymore for Golem as Sol is the better utility damage dealer. But she did help me a lot for Abyss and being my utility Golem 11 attacker prior to Sol Badguy.

Paying For MolaGoras

There is a Molagora pack you can get occasionally. This is worth it if you want to quickly max out the skills of a specific character and a way to show support for the devs.

Welcome to the normal raid guide for Labyrinth! It is the first end game content that gives you a nice challenge once you get to player rank 60 with some decent rewards. Unlike the other regular labyrinths, you need 2 labyrinth compasses to enter it.

Most people will run hell raid once they have a good team with decent 70-85 gear. The normal raid is where you will farm until you can take on hell mode. Even after that, you will still farm normal as the Queen drops a free hell key.

Basics and Mechanics

You will need to beat World Mode 5-9 to unlock Azmakalis Raid. In raid, you get to take on 4 raid bosses and the Queen Azumashik. Once you have defeated 2 raid bosses, you will unlock the top path to fight the Queen. For starters, the easiest raid boss is Arakahan. The other raid bosses’s difficulty will depend on your team composition. Each boss has a unique mechanic that can make it very hard for certain teams if you don’t have specific skills, buffs or debuffs. All the 5 major bosses here are immune to stun, poison, sleep, silence (except Karkanis) and provoke.

When to Attempt Normal Raid

You can attempt normal raid when your team does not die to the mini bosses on your way to the raid bosses. The stats you need from your team are:

• 7000+ hp
• 500+ def

For the Queen, you will need:

• 10000+ hp
• 600+ def

Queen Azumashik hits a lot harder, especially if any member from your team goes below 50% health. Things go downhill fast from there.

Rewards

The rewards for completing normal raid includes the following:

• Epic gear (random substats + each specific boss drops a certain set)
• Tokens to buy shop items
• Free hell raid key when defeating Queen Azumashik
• Ancient Coins

Below are the shop items that you can use tokens to purchase:

• Heart of Hyprocrisy x1
• Nightmare Mask x1

I suggest purchasing the speed armor as the first item as it has all the useful stats for any speed focused unit. Red charms are also great if you want to upgrade your accessories quickly.

Map and Pathing

Upon entering the map, the route to Queen Azumashik is locked until you defeat 2 raid bosses. You always start off with 70 morale. Here is how morale works.

• Above 30 = +10% health bonus
• 0 to 30 = +5% health bonus
• -1 to -30 = No bonus
• -31 to -49 = -85% stats
• -50 = -90% stats

Each box you move costs 1 morale. A battle costs 7 morale. Teleporting costs 3 morale.

If you are just starting out, you can fight the mini bosses and trash mobs as sometimes the mini bosses can drop good purple gear that you can use for your team.

Also, if you can assemble a team that can at least gain 34 morale when camping, you can do all 5 bosses in 3 labyrinth runs, which is 6 tickets every week. The rest you can use it on regular labyrinth for more spirit stone drops to enhance your accessories.

Devourer Arakahan

Eerie Spider

This is probably the easiest boss for most players. Drops tier 5 epic items:

• Critical Rate Set Armor
• Attack% Rage Set Boots
• Unity Set Weapon

The battle consists of the following enemies:

• Devourer Arakahan (Dark Element) – 90,000 Hp
• Azimanmus Hunter x2 (Flame Element)  – 11,000 Hp initial, 7,000 Hp when summoned again

Arakahan Skills

Crisis Response (Passive) – Caster is granted an extra turn and skill cooldowns are reduced by 3 turns if attacked when Health is less than 50%. Corrupted Web’s skill cooldown is also reduced by an additional 1 turn after it is used if Health is less than 50%.

Note: This happens when you get him to below 50% health. He gets a full reset on all his skills, allowing him to stun a member of your team + re-summon the Azimanmus Hunters. Arky or any Guardian does not trigger this.

Incubate Venom (Passive) – Increases Attack and Speed of the Caster at the end of each turn. If Corrupted Web can be used, caster is granted stackable increased Attack and Critical Hit Chance.

Note: He becomes stronger as he gets to use his ultimate often. As long as you have enough damage, this will not be an issue. It is a DPS check on your team.

Stance Chance (Passive) – If Corrupted Web can be used, grants immunity that cannot be dispelled and dramatically decreased damages received. If Corrupted Web cannot be used, all enemies are inflicted with an unable to be buffed debuff that cannot be dispelled and is not affected by immunity. Cannot receive Combat Readiness increase effects.

Note: This is the annoying part about him. Each time he uses Corrupted Web, he will apply an anti-buff debuff that sticks with you for 3 turns until he uses Corrupted Web again. You need to time your buffs and use them on the last turn before he uses Corrupted Web for your buffs to work.

Dash (Active) – Dashes towards the enemy and attacks,with a 75% chance to stun for 1 turn.

Note: This can be annoying if you don’t have debuff immunity. Your frontline tank will usually get stunned unless he/she has high effect resistance.

Corrupted Web

Corrupted Web (Active)[3 Turn Cooldown] – Sprays a Corrupted Web at all enemies, decreasing Speed for 2 turns and decreasing Combat Readiness by 50%, before summoning two Azimanmus Hunters. This skill can only be used after all allies except for the caster have died.

Note: Aside from the anti-buff debuff that cannot be cleansed, you are mostly likely to get hit with the speed debuff and -50% combat readiness if your team doesn’t have high effect resistance. A cleanser will be vital here if you want get a turn after the attack.

Battle Tips

For this fight you will always want to clear the 2 Azimanmus Hunters first. They can apply 1 turn defense break and if they all hit a single target, he/she is most likely dead.

At the start of the battle, Devourer Arakahan will use his Corrupted Web as the opener. He has incredibly high defense and is immune to debuffs when he has Corrupted Web ready to use. You won’t be dealing much damage to him when that skill is up. Arky Guardian does bypass the defense though, so you can use it as the opener as well.

He loses his defense and immunity buff once Corrupted Web is used. This is where you want to start attacking him to deal damage. Having 2 AoE attackers will help you kill the mobs and deal damage to him easily.

You will want to start watching out when he is ready to use Corrupted Web again. That will be the turn to use all your buffs and combat readiness push before he applies the anti-buff on your team.

Team Composition

For guardian, you will want to take Arky. He ignores his defense buff to deal full percentage damage. To make this fight easier, you want to bring an attack buffer, an AoE attacker, a defense breaker and a healer. I will exclude 5 star units unless it is easily obtainable. Below are some examples (F2P in mind):

Clarissa works wonders in this fight. She has defense break and AoE kill reset, which allows her to deal even more damage. I left out wind units as they can miss. But if you start getting better gear, bringing someone like Bellona or Vildred won’t be an issue despite elemental disadvantage.

Vera is a hard hitting boss. Drops tier 5 epic items:

• Health Set Armor
• Critical Hit Set Helmet
• Immunity Set Hp% Ring (Best Drop)

The battle consists of 3 phases and the starting enemies are:

• Secretary Vera (Earth Element) – 105,000 Hp
• Azimanus Watcher -> Azimanus Scout (Light Element) – 6,900 Hp Egg / 11,000 Hp Hatched

Here are the skills of Vera and her monsters depending on the battle phases:

Phase 1

Vera – 105,000 Hp

Mystery of Life (Passive) – Increases Attack and Speed of the caster each time an Azimanus Watcher hatches, and increases Combat Readiness of the caster each time an Azimanus Water takes damage.

Note:  This passive means you cannot run 4 healers and auto it as he will become stronger over time.

Prepare Evolution (Passive) – Transforms into a huge cocoon and summons two Karax Chargers if attacked when Health is less than 50%.

Spew Rock – Basic Attack that Stuns

Spew Rock (Basic Active) – Spits a pile of stones at two random enemies, with a 50%
chance to stun for 1 turn.

Note: This attack can be deadly if the stun lands on your key healers or DPS at the wrong time.

Incubate Egg (Active)[2 Turn Cooldown] – Summon Azimanus Watcher. If a summoned monster already exists, decrease its skill cooldown by 3 turns and grants an extra turn.

Azimanus Watcher

Hatching (Active) – Summons an Azimanus Scout and inflicts all enemies with a random debuff for 3 turns. The caster dies after using this skill.

Note: This can be deadly if a silence lands on your healer or defense break lands on your damage dealer. If you let 3 hatch, it usually means at least one of these will happen to your team.

Phase 2

Vera (Cocoon) – 62,400 Hp

Fetal Movement (Active) – Recovers the caster’s Health. If the caster is already at max Health, grants continuous healing for 1 turn instead.

Complete Hatching (Active)[4 Turn Cooldown] – Summons Secretary Vera with increased Attack, Defense and Speed. If the caster dies before using this skill, Secretary Vera is summoned with decreased Attack, Defense, Speed and max Health.

Note: This is a DPS check. If you lack damage, you won’t kill the cocoon in time. This means the more powerful version will hatch and she does a lot of damage.

Karax Charger – 30,900 Hp

Headbutt – Butts the enemy, decreasing the enemy’s Combat Readiness by 100%.

Note: Delays any of your team members a turn. Having good effect resistance or debuff immunty will help with these. Having a combat readiness pusher also helps.

Phase 3

Vera (Hatched) – 49,000 Hp (If Killed)

Final Evolution (Passive) – Grants the caster stackable Attack, Defense, and Speed increases every turn after hatching from a cocoon.

Note: Prevents you from bringing too many supports. Damage dealers is necessary.

Spew Rock (Active) – Spits a pile of stones at two random enemies, with a 50% chance to stun for 1 turn.

Boulder Vortex

Boulder Vortex (Active)[2 Turn Cooldown] – Stirs up a Boulder Vortex to attack all enemies, with a 75% chance to decrease Attack for 2 turns.

Note: This hits harder as the battle goes on.

In this battle, having the following will help a lot:

• Debuff Immunity
• Debuff Cleansing
• AoE Attacks
• Defense Break
• Attack Down
• Target Debuff

The goal is to have enough damage to take Vera down before she re-hatch into a more powerful version. If that happens, it is pretty much game over. Letting the Azimanus Watcher hatch on the first phase can also be deadly as they apply random debuffs on your team. This happens when you attack the eggs and it gives Vera increased combat readiness to get his turns faster. If all 3 hatch at the same time, the odds of your team getting wiped is high as defense break or silence debuff is deadly.

Debuff immunity is godlike in this fight, with cleanse coming in a close second. Having defense break helps as you can burst down Vera faster. You can start the battle by getting rid of the hatched eggs first. Do keep in mind that if you attack them, Vera gains combat readiness.

Having units that can slow Vera or decrease his combat readiness will be helpful here. The first phase ends when you get his hp below 50%. All eggs will be destroyed if you haven’t destroyed them.

The second phase will turn her into a cocoon and spawn 2 Karax Chargers that will reduce any target’s combat readiness by 100% when they attack. They also provoke with their special ability. Their sole purpose is to delay you for 4 turns until the cocoon hatches into a powerful worm in phase 3.

It is recommended to just go after the cocoon since you only have 4 turns to get it to 0% health. The Karax Chargers have 30k hp, so it is a waste of time to kill them unless you have crazy burst damage. As long as you have a decent DPS unit and a defense breaker unit, you should be able to burst it down. Debuff immunity and cleanse will be clutch here as well, with debuff immunity making your life easier.

Phase 3 begins when you deplete her HP to 0 in phase 2 or after the boss takes 4 turns. This is a DPS race as she will get stronger each turn. Her AoE attack hits for a lot of damage, so you want to make sure you have your healer ready to sustain that. The other alternative is to burst her down quickly so she won’t get the chance to do that as the battle drags on.

Team Composition

For guardian, you will want to take Zeaon if you don’t have a reliable defense breaker. If you do, Arky will be the better choice as you can spam Arky often due to it consuming less souls.

You will want a team with a defense breaker, attack buffer, at least 1 good DPS and a cleanser/debuff immunity support. I will exclude 5 star units unless it is easily obtainable. Below are some examples (F2P in mind):

Bringing water DPS (Karin/Clarissa) is not recommended as the boss is earth element, so there will be a 50% miss chance and therefore lowering your chance to land a defense break. Thankfully, Falconer Kluri’s defense break bypasses elemental disadvantage, so you don’t have to worry about missing. However, it can be still be resisted.

Regular Lorina is also viable as long as she is geared decently. She is the most commonly used DPS for many F2P players that don’t have a solid DPS. Cidd is also good here as he fills the role of DPS and defense breaker. Carminerose is a sleeper unit that is very good here. She can delay the bosses’s turn due to her slow debuff and -35% to 50% combat readiness on her skill 2. She also brings her own defense and attack buff to compensate for her low health.

Hazel/Mascot Hazel is the best slot for this as she fills the role of healer and attack buffer. Pair her with any fire DPS and you deal even more damage to the boss. She also has unhealable, which is useful in phase 2 against the cocoon regen. Helga is also and option. She is also a viable Arena attack buffer in cleave teams due to her speed imprint. She also has a defense break on her skill one. Yuna can also be used here, but she won’t output that much damage due to her at an elemental disadvantage.

F2P options include Montmorancy (AoE cleanse and debuff immunity) and Hazel for Attack Buff/Heal. If you don’t have a reliable cleanser like Achates, Destina or Diene, then the above options will serve you well here. Having a Wondrous Potion Vial can help with provoke debuff.

Executioner Karkanis

Looks like Scyther from Pokemon

A stealth monster that hits like a truck. Drops tier 5 epic items:

• Rage Set Armor
• Speed Set Speed Boot (Best Drop)
• Immunity Set Helmet

The battle consists of the following enemies:

• Executioner Karkanis (Flame Element) – 108,900 Hp
• Karax Scout x2 (Earth Element) – 71,000 Hp

Calmness (Passive) – When attacking, caster is granted stackable increased Attack and Speed. Increases chance of evading attacks from debuffed enemies, and counterattacks following a successful evasion while dispelling any debuffs inflicted on the caster. Counterattack will make a Critical Hit.

Note: Don’t bring earth units against him.

Death Sentence (Passive) – Increases Attack and Speed of the caster permanently when Health falls below 40%. Activates Crush after using Slice if cooldown of Crush is reset.

Shadow (Gains Stealth)

Shadow (Passive) – If the caster’s Health is less than 70%, caster is granted an extra turn and casts stealth for 2 turns at the end of the turn. If the caster is stealthed at the beginning of the turn, recovers Health and grants permanent stackable Attack and Speed increases. Stealth effect can only activate once every 2 turns.

Slice (Basic Active) – Cuts the enemy, decreasing Defense for 2 turns.

Crush (Active)[2 Turn Cooldown] – Rushes towards the enemy and attacks, stunning for 2 turns. If the target’s Health is less than 50%, they will lose 99% of their current Health. If silenced, this skill will not be activated and cooldown will be increased. The skill only activates when the caster’s Health is less than 40%.

Note: Very deadly when your character is defense debuffed. 

Battle Tips

Karakanis and his minions are actually very fast and you will need speed (about 150+ should be good) on your team or else you will get lapped and they end up getting 2 turns before you get one. Having a speedy combat readiness pusher will help here. Arky is also the preferred guardian for burst damage. You also need to bring at least one AoE attacker to break his stealth.

There are basically 2 phases in which Karkanis will get stronger:

• Under 70% Hp: he will stealth at the end of every 2 turns. If stealthed at the start of its turn, it will heal a large amount of HP and gain a stacking attack buff.
• Under 40% Hp: he will gain an extra turn and use its ultimate (unless silenced). Stops going into stealth.

Hard hitting basic attack + ultimate

The 2 Karax Scout are pretty much invincible so it is pointless to try and kill them. They can dispel up to 2 buffs and apply attack down at a 75% chance. So that means your buffs will be stripped quite often in this fight.

Only focus on the boss and use the scouts as a punching bag when you are debuffed. They key gimmick here is the boss will counter attack at a very high chance when you “miss”. That happens when he has elemental advantage and when any of your characters attack him while having a debuff on. His counter attacks always is a critical hit and cleanses any debuff off him. His basic attack applies defense debuff for 2 turns.

Once you get him to 70% health, he will start to stealth and this is where you need an AoE attacker to take him out of it. It is best to bring 2 AoE attackers so in case one of them gets debuffed, you still can use the other one to get him out of stealth. If you cannot do that, then he will heal and get stacking attack and speed buff, making the fight harder.

When under 40% Hp, he will use his ultimate and it will stun the target. If target is under 50% Hp, they will be put to 1% Hp. Keeping your team healthy and having about 8000 hp and about 550+ defense will help stay above the 50% threshold.

The key tip here is to get him to about 45% heath, activate Arky guardian to get it below that threshold. It will not activate his passive + ultimate until one of your team members hit him with an attack.

Team Composition

It is best to bring 2 AoE attackers, 1 cleanser/debuff immunity support and a healer. Defense breaker is not necessary but it helps. Attack down debuff is also useful here to reduce the damage Karkanis deals. The Wondrous Potion Vial artifact is also useful in clearing debuffs.

I will exclude 5 star units unless it is easily obtainable. Below are some examples (F2P in mind):

Elson is the most budget choice. His second skill is an AoE attack that can do a minor heal on your team + attack debuff on skill 1. Schuri can help with combat readiness push passive when he crits. His skill 3 can also pushback Karkanis when it has more than 3 focus.

Clarissa is an excellent choice here as she also has defense break on her skill 1. Axe God (Chaos Sect Axe) also fits the bill here with his AoE attack on skill 2 (with attack down debuff) and a reliable skill 3 defense break.

Rikoris, Romann, Zerato and Mercedes are also viable options if you have invested in them. They are niche units and not as popular.

Healer/Cleanser

The healer/cleansers you use to fight Vera and Arakahan can also be used here. As mentioned before, having Wondrous Potion Vial on healers with no cleanse such as Mascot Hazel and Doris is really helpful in keeping the debuffs at bay. Otherwise, Montmorancy is the most budget option to get the job done as she has both AoE cleanse and a debuff immunity heal.

DPS (Optional)

Arky can help you get the job done, so any form of single target DPS is a bonus.

Commander Lorina

Carmainerose

Mistychain

Commander Lorina provides pure single target DPS and some combat readiness pushback. Carmainerose has more utility and can slow down the boss. Mistychain has the nifty attack down debuff that can reduce the damage dealt by Karkanis. However, both Mistychain and Carmainerose have low base health, so they can be easily killed if they get targeted.

Juleeve Council

Bees!

A poison focused boss that can cleanse and dispel.

Drops tier 5 epic items:

• Attack Set Weapon
• Unity Set Helmet
• Speed Set Hp% Necklace (Best Drop)

The battle consists of 2 phases and the following bosses:

• Juleeve Council (Light Element) – 157,300 Hp
• Juleeve Split x3 (Light Element) – 25,600 Hp each

Black Death (Passive) – Caster splits into three when Health falls below 70% and 40%. Deals damage to all enemies proportional to the max Health of the target and dispels one buff from all enemies every time the enemy begins a turn if the core monster is not killed. When reappearing after splitting, reappears with the 70% or 40% Health they had before splitting.

Note: AoE attacks and strong single target DPS is great here.

Inflict Curse (Passive) – If the caster is attacked while debuffed, grants random buffs for 2 turns before dispelling all debuffs. Number of buffs granted increases proportional to the number of debuffs, up to a maximum of three buffs.

Note: Bring characters with low debuff chance will give him less buffs.

Plague (Passive) – Poisoned enemies will poison another enemy for 2 turns at the beginning of the turn. Effect does not occur while splitting.

Note: Wonderous Potion Vial artifact will help with the poison spreading.

Spread Disease (Active) – Attacks the enemy, inflicting poison for 2 turns, and granting stackable increased Attack and Speed to the caster. Grants the caster an extra attack with the same skill.

Group Attack

Group Ambush (Active)[3 Turn Cooldown] – Attack all enemies, dispelling all buffs, and extending the duration of debuffs by 2 turns. Damage dealt increases proportional to the number of debuffs.

Note: This attack doesn’t do big damage but it will negate any buffers you bring + extend any poison debuff by 2 turns.

Battle Tips

This battle is about heal sustain and DPS. Bringing a defense breaker is good during the split phase but not very good when fighting Juleeve in the main phase. The common guardian choice here is Arky, but if you don’t have a defense break unit for the split phase, you can bring Zeaon.

Juleeve gets a random buff (Speed/Defense/Attack Up) when you debuff it + cleanses it as well. The battle will take a bit longer if Juleeve keeps getting the defense buff. The “cannot be buffed” debuff will prevent it from getting any buffs though.

Since Juleeve can always attack twice in a row and apply poison debuffs, it is vital to bring a cleanser/ debuff immunity or a Wondrous Potion artifact. Letting the poisons stack up will make the poison spread and get out of control if you don’t clear it. His ultimate will extend those poison debuffs. Thankfully, his basic attack doesn’t hurt as much as the other bosses.

The split phase will happen at 70% and 40%. It will split into 3 and you need to find the real one to make it return back to the base form. It is random and its just a guessing game. During the spilt phase, you will:

• Take a small percentage of the characters max health as damage after a teammate moves EACH turn (buffs also get dispelled and all teammates take damage)
• The mini Juvleeves can also poison you with their attacks

As mentioned before, immunity or Wonderous Potion Vial artifact + cleanse is highly recommended. Barrier can also be used in the spilt phase to soak up 1 turn of damage. AoE damage is very good during this phases, as is high burst single target damage. As long as you can deal about 50,000 damage to 2 mini Juleeves in a 3-4 turns, you should be able pass the damage check. The longer this phase drags on, the more heal and sustain you need.

Once Juleeve transforms back to the original form from phase 2, it will gain more speed as the battle progresses.

Team Composition

Bring at least one healer/cleanser is recommended unless you have very strong burst damage. Buffers or Attack buffers are optional as that doesn’t help during the split phase.

Falconer Kluri deserves a mention here as her 2% passive team heal from the specialty change skill tree will help reduce the overall damage taken during the split phase and the poison debuff. Her defense debuff can also be used at will without having to worry about debuffing big Juleeve.

The toughest fight in the map. She hits hard and things can go bad quickly when any of your teammates are below 50% health.

Drops tier 5 epic items:

• Rage Set Helmet
• Attack Set Atk% Necklace
• Health Set Hp% Ring (Best Drop)
• Critical Set Weapon

Here are the enemies you will be facing:

• Queen Azumashik (Light Element) – 160,700 Hp
• Azimanus Watcher (Light Element) 13,200 Hp -> Devourer Arakahan (Dark Element) 24,400 Hp
• Azimanus Manager (Light Element) 13,200 Hp  -> Raqix Flying Troop (Light Element) 30,200 Hp

Here are the skills of the enemy:

Queen Azumashik

Queen’s Servant (Passive) – After taking damage for the first time, attacks all enemies before hatching two eggs to summon two Devourer Arahakans. If the caster’s Health is less than 50% after taking damage, uses Death Trap before hatching two eggs to summon Raqix Flying Troop. Queen Azumashik absorbs some of the damage taken by the summoned Devourer Arahakan and Raqix Flying Troop. Raqix Flying Troop has a 30% chance to counterattack whenever Queen Azumashik takes damage. Eggs are invincible and immune before hatching.

Note: Debuff immunity and cleanse makes it easier during the opening battle.

Queen’s Terror (Passive) – Decreases the target’s Attack, Hit Chance, and Speed as the Health of enemies decreases. At the beginning of the caster’s turn, stuns targets with less than 30% Health for 1 turn.

Note: Debuff immunity really will save you on this one when under geared.

Queen’s Authority (Passive) – Grants increased Attack and Defense for 2 turns at the beginning of every turn, and grants a stackable Attack increase buff at the end of each turn. If attacked when inflicted with more than three debuffs, the caster is granted an extra turn and all debuffs are dispelled.

Note: Having someone to dispel this when Queen is under 50% will help a lot.

Hellish Cut (Active) – Decreases the target’s Attack, Hit Chance, and Speed as the Health of enemies decreases. At the beginning of the caster’s turn, stuns targets with less than 30% Health for 1 turn.

Death Trap

Death Trap (Active)[2 Turn Cooldown] – Attack all enemies, inflicting stackable Defense and Speed decreases. Damage dealt increases proportional to the caster’s lost Health. This skill can only be used when the caster’s Health is less than 50%.

Note: This hurts as the battle progresses.

Battle Tips

This is the toughest fight in the normal raid. Queen Azumashik hits hard and has a lot of mechanics you have to pay attention to compared to the other bosses. Let’s break down the various phases and mechanics:

• The battle starts with her and 4 eggs unhatched and they are invincibile
• The bottom 2 eggs are Devourer Arakahans that can stun you (hatches after you hit the Queen for the first time)
• When the Queen gets to less than 50% health, she gets an extra turn, cleanses all debuffs and uses her ultimate AoE attack on the team.
• The top 2 eggs are Raqix Flying Troops that hatch once Queen goes below 50% health
• When eggs hatch, they apply random debuffs on your entire team
• The max number of debuffs you can land on the Queen is 3. She will cleanse it and get an extra turn after that.
• Each time she attacks, she gets a 2 turn attack and defense buff, which is problematic when stacked with her stackable attack passive.

The best guardian for this fight is Arky. If you don’t have enough burst damage, he will come in handy when the Queen is under 50% health.

The first phase of the fight is when the Queen is at 100% health and the second phase starts when you get her below 50%.

Debuff immunity and cleanse are 2 key skills you need here to make your life easier. Having a strong tank that can take hits is also a bonus for survival. Attacking the 2 Devourer Arakahans will also damage the Queen. You have a few decisions to make here in terms of battle strategy:

• Go straight for the Queen and ignore the minions
• Kill the two Devourer Arakahans, then focus on the Queen
• Kill all minions and focus on the Queen

I suggest only going for the Queen if you have enough DPS to burst her down in 3-4 turns when she is below 50% hp and at the same time being able to take hits from the Devourer Arakahan’s and the counter attacks from Raqix Flying Troops.

Before attacking the Queen at the start of the battle, it is vital to have either debuff immunity or cleanse ready as the hatching of the Devourer Arakahans will apply random debuffs on your entire team.

It is a lot safer to kill the two Devourer Arakahans as they can stun you every 3 turns. It can be deadly alongside all the Queen’s attacks. Since the Queen will attack the frontline tank most of the time and dispel buffs + reducing tank’s skill cooldown by 1, it is safer to bring at least 1 other healer if you choose to use a healer as the tank. Keeping everyone above 50% health will ensure the Queen does not get any additional surprise AoE attacks.

You also have to pay attention to the Queen when she reaches 50% health. She will hatch the 2 remaining eggs and they will apply random debuffs on your entire team + use her ultimate. If you are unlucky and any of your members get the defense debuff, they will most likely take lethal damage. The Raqix Troops will counter attack that can poison if you attack the Queen.

As long as you can keep everyone above 30% health, you will avoid any of your characters getting stunned and take an additional AoE attack from a Queen basic attack. Immunity buff also stops that from happening. Having high effect resistance(50%+) will help you resist more debuffs, but it can be very random.

Team Composition

Your team composition will depend on how well geared your DPS units are. With a strong DPS that can output 20k damage when the Queen is defense broken, you can get away with only bringing one DPS.

Ideally, it is best to bring at least 1 defense breaker, a team attack buffer, a DPS and another support healer. Having a dispeller to strip the Queen’s buff or apply attack down debuff will help reduce the damage your team takes. Having Aurius on a tank will also mitigate some damage for your team.

A F2P team will look something like this:

If Kluri is tanking, then be aware that your defense break will not be as reliable due to Queen constantly resetting Kluri’s skill cooldown. Mascot Hazel has moderate heal and the team attack buff for the main DPS Lorina. Defense break becomes vital when Queen drops below 50% health. With attack buff and defense break, as long as your Lorina can do 15k+ damage, adding Arky 3 times will be able to take her down.

Now let’s go over the other options (excluding 5 star units):

Angelica

Angelica would be the best here due to how good her debuff immunity is. However, Achates or Montmorancy can do the job sufficiently due to their low cooldown team cleanse. I personally use Achates to tank. Doris is one of the healers with team defense buff. If you only have Hazel/Mascot Hazel, then having the Wondrous Potion Vial here really helps out with the debuffs.

Chaos Sect Axe

Taranor Guard

Again, Commander Lorina is the easiest choice for F2P players. An alternative option would be Taranor Guard as he has defense break and also a useful member in Wyvern 11.

Clarissa and Karin are strong water DPS, where one is AoE while the other is single target respectively. Both of them also have defense break.

Chaos Sect Axe is also very versatile as he is also great against the other mini bosses due to him not having elemental disadvantage and brings defense break and AoE attack down.

Buffers

Helga

Yuna

Mascot Hazel is also a healer so she is very good here. Helga is another alternative if you use her in Banshee or in the Arena cleave team.

Yuna is a good substitute if you don’t have Diene and want an offensive AoE attacker. Her AoE attacks does come in handy here. However, you will need to make sure you bring strong supports or healers to make sure Yuna survives the Queen’s damage.

Dispeller (Optional)

Not necessary but it can help mitigate damage by stripping the Queen’s attack and defense buff. It is best to use someone with a dispel that has low cooldown since the Queen gets her buff every turn.

Welcome to the gold farming guide. In Epic Seven, gold is one of the most scarce resources as you progress further in the game. Initially, you will get a nice chunk of gold from adventure rewards and mission objectives. However, as you craft/upgrade/change/remove end game equipment, the gold costs start adding up and you find yourself running out of it fast.

The biggest trap in the game is spending your gold early on upgrading unnecessary stuff. Under the spending gold section, I will list some things to pay attention to so that you go into end game strong with a good amount of gold to upgrade the main gear that matters the most.

Earning Gold

Here is a list of methods that is going to help you earn gold.

1 – Adventure Mode

Adventure mode will give you gold upon completing a map. You can also get equipment drops and occasionally bonus gold drops and also treasure chests that contains extra gold. As you progress to pass normal mode in adventure, the gold gains will start increasing, especially when you sell level 44 equipment.

When it comes to choosing which place to farm, I prefer stages that have epic catalyst drops since they are extremely rare and takes a long time to drop.

Emergency Mission (Bounty Hunt)

Once you complete more adventure missions, an occasional emergency mission will show up. Look for the one that says Bounty Hunt. It gives extra 50k gold. Other notable ones are:

• Catch Phantasma – Gives 1 gold phantasma
• Kill Goblin Thief – A random rare catalyst
• Goblin Treasure Chest – Can now drop 60-80 epic necklace/rings!

Mazes

Any normal adventure map will have mazes where you can’t do a full auto. There are some maze maps that give awesome drops and gold but it isn’t as time efficient due to longer runs. However, if you are willing to do a bit of manual, you can get good returns. There are a lot more chests in mazes. I see upwards of 3 chests per run. Chests can net you gold, skystones, bookmarks and more equipment.

If you are willing to spend time to do it, it is quite worth it. There are a couple of good mazes that is a good source of gold and fodder.

• 9-4 Normal – Fire based enemies

Another option is 10-3 normal. Also all fire based enemies with a few dark ones. Both are great if you have a water farmer like Sez or Clarissa.

2 – Abyss Tower

The Abyss Tower is a great source for early game gold. You will need the gold income to upgrade the lifesteal set you get as a reward from climbing it. You are going to get gold from the following floors:

• Floor 15 – 200 skystones, 200k gold
• Floor 26 – 750k gold
• Floor 30 – 300 skystones, 300k gold
• Floor 45 – 500 skystones, 500k gold
• Floor 46 – 1.5 million gold
• Floor 60 – 1000 skystones, 1 million gold
• Floor 66 – 3 million gold
• Floor 75 – 1500 skystones, 1.5 million gold
• Floor 85 – 3 million gold, 5 molagoragos

You get 8.75 million gold for getting to floor 75. However, floors 45+ are quite hard and if you are not geared enough or don’t have the right units, it will take you a while to get there.

Getting to floor 45 should be easy once you get a full team of level 50 characters. That will net you 1 million gold early on.

Once you complete floor 80, you can purify all floors 3 times for 120k gold daily.

3 – Selling Penguins

Penguins are meant for giving nice experience boost to your characters, but with gold being scarce, many players opt to sell them instead. The reason for that is because you can level characters to their max eventually.

You can get penguins by growing them in the Forest of Souls (120 stigma) and also from special events. There are penguins sold in the transmit stone shop, but those are not worth using your stones for. You get the following by selling penguins of various rarities:

• 1 star penguin – 6000 gold
• 2 star penguin – 18000 gold
• 3 star penguin – 54000 gold, 1 transmit stone

Most of the time, you will be selling 1 and 2 star penguins. 3 star penguins are rare and usually you can get them via special events. The Forest of Souls upgraded to max still only gives you a 3% chance for a 3 star penguin of a random element.

Do keep in mind that early game, using penguins to level up your main team is good. But once you have a solid PvE team that are all level 50, the 1 star penguins becomes quite useless and it is best to just sell them.

4 – Heart of Orbis

Heart of Orbis is a long term investment in terms of both gold and skystones. Early on, you will want to invest in 2 buildings:

• Cradle of Life -> Allows you to store more gold and skystone (up to 36,000 gold)
• Benedictory Sanctum -> Earn triple rewards (up to 50% chance)

I suggest upgrading Cradle of Life and Benedictory Sanctum to level 3 quickly as a casual player. This allows you to collect once a day for a 50% chance to earn triple rewards. It would be 108,000 gold if the bonus reward chance are triggered.

5 – Boss Hunt

Boss hunt 11 is one of the best in terms of gold income. Not only do you get a decent amount of gold, you also get level 85 equipment drops (more gold!) and other resources like powder of knowledge, skystones and mystic bookmarks.

The average gold for any hunt is 30,000 gold per 20 energy. That already gives you 1500 gold per energy. That is very high and we are excluding selling equipment drops. On average, you would be getting 60 equipment drops out of 100 runs. 90% of the time, the equipment is junk. That means you get to sell it usually. Gold selling price for equipment goes like this:

• Level 70 blue equipment – 5000 gold
• Level 70 heroic equipment – 7500 gold
• Level 70 epic equipment – 12500 gold
• Level 85 blue equipment – 10000 gold
• Level 85 heroic equipment – 15000 gold
• Level 85 epic equipment – 25000 gold

Obviously you won’t be selling any epic equipment that is usable, but consistent selling of equipment will net you extra gold. Assuming you do 100 runs of Wyvern/Golem/Banshee 11, you would get an average of:

• 30,000 gold x 100 = 3 million gold
• 30 Level 70 Blue/Heroic equipment~175000 gold
• 30 Level 85 Blue/Heroic equipment ~ 350000 gold

That will net you about 3.5 million gold using 2000 energy. That gives you about 1762.5 gold per energy. Pretty good if you would ask me. Not to mention you also get skystones, mystic stones, covenant bookmarks and powder of knowledge as well.

6 – Dispatch Missions

If you are willing to sacrifice some spirit stones or conquest points, you can use the dispatch mission as a way to gain gold. The most energy efficient one is the one that costs 1 energy and takes only 2 hours. You need to get the level 1 building upgrade to unlock this. This is the most gold efficient task but just takes way longer. Think of this as a long term investment.

• 9500 gold (with 40% reward bonus) = 13300 gold
• Assuming you can do it 4 times daily at 5 days a week = 266000 gold a week

That’s not a lot, but with just a cost of 20 energy a week, I think it is well spent as it is 13300 gold per energy ratio, which is not attainable anywhere else in the game.

7 – Automaton Tower

Each month the tower resets and gives you gold for each floor. The gold racks up and is a good source of gold income monthly alongside all the other goodies.

Spending Gold Efficiently

10-3 normal mode boots (worth upgrading early on as a temporary placeholder until end game)

When it comes to spending gold, it is best to save as much as you can and not waste it on unnecessary things. I made that mistake and I am paying for it now in the late game. I will be breaking it down to a few sections. I recommend you spend gold on the following:

• Upgrading equipment only when you are stuck progressing in the story mode
• Abyss equipment (the tier 57, 71 and 85 sets)
• Level 70-88 equipment with good substats (at least 2 desired sub-stats)
• Unit/Fodder promotion
• Covenant bookmarks from the secret shop
• Accessory and Boots crafting (end game)

When it comes to upgrading equipment, it is one of the biggest gold sinks in the game. If you climbed the Abyss all the way to 80, you will have collected 3 lifesteal sets for 3 damage dealers, which is more than enough to clear most of the content in the game except for maybe Hell Raid.

When it comes to getting some good right side % equipment for your characters, you want to farm the Great Farche Labyrinth Zone 2-5. It drops level 45 speed/crit/hit rate accessories that gives you the important mid level Hp/Atk/Def/Crit percentage gear. That should give you the boost to try regular raid once you have some decent equipment.

Priority (Upgrade 4 Sets)

In an ideal situation, you want to upgrade 4 core sets that you can use for your main team and save gold. As you progress through Labyrinth, you will start picking up decent temporary items that is usable till end game. I will be listing them here. Grass Angel has an excellent video below pin pointing the locations.

Adventure Map Normal

• 8-S4 -> Atk% Amulet (Speed Set)
• 9-4 -> Chest Armor (Attack Set)
• 9-7 -> Helmet (Crit Rate Set)
• 10-3 -> Speed Boots (Crit Rate Set)

Labyrinth (Epic Equipment)

• Zone 1-3 -> Helmet (Attack Set)
• Zone 1-4 -> Def% Boots (Def Set)
• Zone 1-5 -> Crit Chance% Necklace (Attack Set)
• Zone 2-1 -> Atk% Ring (Crit Rate Set)
• Zone 2-2 -> Weapon (Health Set)
• Zone 2-3 -> Armor (Crit Rate Set)
• Zone 2-4 -> Helmet (Health Set)
• Zone 2-5 -> Speed Boots (Crit Rate Set)
• Zone 3-1 -> Crit Damage% Necklace (Destruction Set)
• Zone 3-2 -> Def% Necklace (Resist Set)

So once you complete normal Adventure Mode and Labyrinth Zone 2-5, you have enough gear to equip your main damage dealer and a support or utility damage dealer.

Gold is well spent on upgrading these equipment until you get better gear from special events and also Boss Hunts (9-11) or end game crafting.

Switching or Stripping Gear

Switching equipment in this game costs a lot of gold in the end game, especially if you unequip/switch level 70-88 gear.

• 70+ gear -> 25k gold cost per equipment
• 85+ gear -> 50k gold cost per equipment

That means it costs 150k/300k gold to swap end game equipment. This adds up fast. If you plan ahead and make sure that the equipment you are using is going to stay on a specific character, you will reduce the amount of gold spent switching gear.

Also while you are climbing the Abyss Tower, sometimes you may need to switch gear to pass it depending on the units you have. This also eats up your gold fast.

Summary

So hope this helps. For those that just want a short summary, I have shortened everything here:

1. Save your gold and only spend it on upgrading temporary gear from Labyrinth and Adventure Mode.
2. Farm adventure mode that gives gold and epic catalysts.
3. Do Bounty Hunt emergency mission for extra 50k gold.
4. Farm the highest Boss Hunt you can do and sell all junk gear you don’t need.
5. Collect your gold daily from Heart of Orbis
6. Aim to complete at least Abyss Floor 30 early game. Purify daily for extra gold if you are stuck on a floor.
7. Sell 1/2/3 star penguins for gold.
8. Do 2 hour or 6 hour dispatch missions for extra gold.

Welcome to the basic guide for equipment. In Epic Seven, gearing your character is one of the most important parts of the game. Not optimizing the stats you need for a character will hinder your progress in various stages in the game.

Most characters are viable in all PvE content if you invest in them enough. So let’s go over the basics you need to know about gear in general.

Equipment Basics

Each gear will have the following things attached:

• A – This indicates the item level or tier. The higher the number, the better the tier. This ranges from 1-100. Higher tier gear have better main stats and higher rolls for substats.
• B – This tells you what level the gear is at. It starts at 0 and can be enhanced all the way to +15.
• C – This tells you the gear set it belongs to. Matching sets will give you some bonus stats. We will be going over this below.

You can equip 6 gear slots and 1 artifact for any given character. Below are the main stats for each gear slot.

Left Side (Blue)

• Weapon – Flat attack as main stat
• Helm – Flat health as main stat
• Armor – Flat defense as main stat

Right Side (Green)

These are the pieces that matter the most. They give % main stats, which is what scales the character. Bonus tip, never use flat stats as the main stat on the right side of the gear ever. It is absolutely a terrible return of investment.

• Necklace – Main stat can be Flat attack, flat defense, flat hp, atk%, hp%, def%, crit rate % or crit damage%
• Ring – Main stat can be flat attack, flat defense, flat hp, atk%, hp%, def%, effectiveness% and effect resistance%
• Boots – Main stat can be flat attack, flat defense, flat hp, atk%, hp%, def% and speed
• Artifact – Always provides flat attack, health and the artifact’s special effect

As you can see, the main stat for weapon, helm and armor stays the same. Only necklace, ring and boots can have varying main stats. Only boots can roll speed as main stat, rings with effectiveness%/effect resistance% and crit rate%/crit damage% for necklace.

Effectiveness affects how accurate your debuffs will land on the enemy while effect resistance will affect enemy’s debuffs on your character. Currently, effect resistance isn’t the most useful stat and I suggest you focus on everything else.

Equipment Grade and Main Stats

There are currently 5 types:

• Normal – No bonus substat
• Uncommon – 1 bonus substat
• Rare– 2 bonus substats
• Heroic – 3 bonus substats
• Epic – 4 bonus substats

All gear of the same tier will have the same main stat regardless of rarity. Since the update changes for the tiers, the old format now reads like this:

• T1 – 1 to 15
• T2 – 16 to 30
• T3 – 31 to 45
• T4 – 46 to 60
• T5 – 61 to 75
• T6 – 76 to 90
• T7 – 90+

Equipment Substats

Each gear can have up to 4 sub stats. Below are the options you can have:

• Weapon – Atk%, flat hp, hp%, speed, crit rate%, crit damage%, effectiveness, effect resistance%
• Helmet – Flat atk, atk%, flat hp, hp%, flat def, def%, speed, crit rate%, crit damage%, effectiveness, effect resistance%
• Armor – Flat hp, hp%, speed, crit rate%, crit damage%, effectiveness, effect resistance%
• Necklace, Ring and Boots – Everything except the main stat

Gear Sets

Each gear will have a set bonus that can either be acquired by wearing 2 or 4 pieces of the same type. You can see what set bonuses you have by looking at the bottom left corner of the character page. Currently, you can have the following sets:

• Health – Gives +15% health (2 pieces)
• Defense – Gives +15% defense (2 pieces)
• Attack – Gives +35% attack (4 pieces)
• Speed – Gives 25% speed (4 pieces)
• Critical – Gives +12% critical rate (2 pieces)
• Hit Rate – Gives +20% effectiveness(2 pieces)
• Destruction – Gives +40% critical damage (4 pieces)
• Lifesteal – Gives +20% lifesteal of the damage dealt to enemies (4 pieces)
• Counter – Gives +20 chance to counter attack when attacked. (4 pieces)
• Resist – Gives +20% effect resistance(2 pieces)
• Unity – Gives +4% chance to trigger dual attack (2 pieces)
• Rage – Gives +30% damage when the enemy is debuffed (4 pieces)
• Immunity – Gives 1 turn immunity buff at the start of each battle phase (2 pieces)

If you are looking to farm/hunt for specific gear sets, I have categorized them below:

• Golem Hunt – Health, Defense and Attack sets
• Wyvern Hunt – Speed, Hit Rate and Critical sets
• Banshee Hunt – Destruction, Lifesteal, Counter and Resist sets
• Labyrinth Raid – Unity, Rage, Immunity and all other sets

Upgrading/Enhancing

When you upgrade an equipment, there is a break point for every 3 levels, up to 15. Every 3 levels, your equipment will either further improve a current substats stats.

Upgrading is also expensive and on average costs 1 million gold+ to enhance a tier 6 item to +15.

Below is how it works:

Charms vs Normal Gear

White Charm (1500 exp)

Charms are a great way to enhance gear and is more gold efficient. However, they are more scarce and not easy to find. Normal gear on the other hand, is less gold efficient but you can upgrade faster as you get more of them in adventure mode.

You can find Huche in the Labyrinth (Tirel Castle Zone 1) to buy charms, but I suggest you not do that unless you are desperate for upgrading. Gold is scarce in this game and you don’t want to be wasting it for quick upgrades.

Charms can be gotten in various ways:

• Regular adventure map (drops white charms that gives 1500 exp)
• Huche (sometimes he sells red charms)
• Conquest shop gives weapon, helmet, armor and boot charms (white and black)
• Ancient coin shop gives accessory charms(white and black)
• Transmit stone shop also gives accessory charms (not recommended to buy unless you are desperate for an important upgrade)
• Challenge Quests (rarely ever drop the black charms, but the white charms can drop)
• Raid Labyrinth (Red Accessory Charms can be traded using raid currency)

Gear Enhancement Multipliers

QuazzyWazzy was able to come up with the gear multipliers when upgrading gear.

Early on, the mutiplier increases linearly and then it spikes at the end. Starting from the base value, the multiplier increments by 0.20 up until +10. From there to +13 it rises to 0.30. At +14 it’s at 0.35 and finally at +15 it jumps to 0.75, which is more than double of the previous increments.

If there’s anything to take in here, it’s that get your right side gear to +15 ASAP, the +15% main stat boost is pretty big.

Substat Range

The substat range also varies for different tiers, but higher tier gear will have a higher range. Below is the substat range from Shipposting_Duck:

Gear Recommendations For Different Roles

Now that you have a good idea of how equipment works, let’s go over the recommendations for various roles in the game. I have grouped them under the following. Do keep in mind that some characters overlap in various groups.

Single Target/AoE DPS?

These are your standard damage dealers, which the game has no shortage of. There are usually two types of damage dealers. The first one is a pure damage dealer. The second type is a damage dealer with debuffs such as defense break, burn, bleed etc.

For raw damage dealers, you will want as much attack, crit rate% and crit damage%. It also helps if you can get some speed substats so they aren’t too slow. 120+ speed would be good.

• Destruction/Crit Rate% (Crit Damage%, Atk%, Atk% or Speed)

Damage Dealers/Bruisers with Debuff

Characters in this category scale with dealing mixed damage. Any character that has bleed, burn, poison or any damage over time effects will require some effectiveness, especially against tougher bosses with high effect resistance. Look for speed and effectiveness substats so you don’t have to use it on the right side equipment.

• Attack/Hit Rate% – (Atk%, Atk%, Atk%)

Second set is more for PvP as you need to go first to apply debuffs. For more niche units like Kiris or any character that relies on poison to do damage, the recommended set is:

Their main damage source is over time, so they need to survive and move as fast as possible to stack those effects.

Bruisers (Ken, Cartuja etc.) that scale with health will also benefit from some attack, defense and effectiveness. For bruiser type debuffers:

• Speed/Hp – (Hp%,Hp%, Hp%)
• Counter/Hp – (Hp%,Hp%, Hp%) -> Great if their first skill has a debuff

Most buffers are further split into 2 types -> Offensive and Defensive.

For example, Hazel and Yuna are offensive buffers since they offer attack up and scale better with attack stat. Other’s like Rose and Diene scale better with health since they need to be tanky and durable to be more efficient.

For defensive buffers (Diene, Rose etc.):

Dispellers are vital to your progress in both PvE and PvP. Stripping enemy buffs can be a life saver in many situations, particularly in the Abyss tower.

For damage dealer type dispellers, it is best to build some attack and effectiveness.

Defense and effectiveness goes a long way for tanky dispellers. I recommend they go:

Most healers do well, especially if their heals scale of max health of either theirs or the allies max health. Most common and best set for healers are health or speed sets. Healers also benefit a lot from defense and speed. Since most healers are slow, it is best to use a speed boot if you can find them.

• Speed/Hp – (Hp%, Hp%, Speed)

Most tanks don’t do much damage, so defense and health goes a long way. It also helps if they have some speed substats.

Krau is a bit of a unique tank since his third skill deals damage off his missing health. In this case:

• Lifesteal/Hp – (Hp%/Hp%/Hp%)

PvP Focused

Bellona

Shadow Rose

In Champion arena and higher, immunity sets become more important. This is more of an end game set and most players won’t venture into this territory.

• Destruction/Immunity – (Crit R%, Atk%, Speed or Atk%)
• Speed/Immunity – (Hp%, Hp%, Hp%)

Immunity will ensure your damage dealers or combat readiness pushers won’t be stunned or lose their turn on the first round.

Welcome to the skystone farming guide! We will be going over the list of all viable methods to gather and farm these skystones. Some can only be gotten once while others are recurring on a daily/weekly/monthly basis. In the end we will tally up the total and the number of skystones you can get each month.

This is especially important for F2P players, since you need to plan accordingly on where you should be allocating your valuable skystones (scarce resource) to advance in the game.

Adventure Missions

Each adventure mission will grant you 15 skystones if you complete all mission objectives. Most are pretty easy to get in regular adventure, while some are harder to get in world mode and requires some planning if your team is not high level enough or have the required equipment to do it.

When you complete all normal adventure stage objectives of a region, you get bonus 50 skystones.

For world difficulty mode, you get 100 skystones and 1 MolaGora seed when completing 2 and 3 mission objectives respectively.

Normal Adventure Mode

• 190 x 15 (Mission Objectives) = 2760 skystones
• 16 x 50 (Map Completion) = 800 skystones

World Adventure Mode

• 193 x 15 (Mission Objectives) = 2760 skystones
• 16 x 100 (Mission Objectives) = 1600 skystones + 16 MolaGora seeds

So total possible skystones is 7920! World mode is a lot harder, so you will need a good team (mostly max 6 stars with decent gear) to complete it.

Reputation Objectives

Many reputation missions are repeats of their previous ones but it does require more tries to get the next level rewards. I will be listing all the note worthy ones that will give you bonus skystones.

• Fame (Rank Up – just playing the game will get you these free skystones)
• A Holy Connection (Acquiring Guardians – complete normal adventure mode)
• Together Forever (Total Logins)
• Hidden Treasure (Entering Golden Goblin Chambers)
• Frontier Spirit (Stage Clears/Objectives)
• Gold Transmit Stone Collector (Get Transmit Stones)
• Explore Tirel Castle in Chaos 100% – 90 skystones
• Explore Great Farche Labyrinth 100% – 95 skystones
• Explore Nixied’s Sanctum 100% – 100 skystones

As you can see, you can get at least 1000 skystones if you complete a lot of these.

Daily Mission

The daily mission gives you a total of 50 skystones. The key missions that give you those skystones are:

• Complete 5 Arena Matches (You don’t have to win all) – 15 skystones
• Complete 2 Dispatch Missions – 5 skystones
• Complete all Daily Quests – 30 skystones

In order to complete the daily quests, you need:

• Summon a Penguin from the Forest of Souls
• Complete 5 Adventure Maps(Includes Special Event Maps)
• Complete 1 Spirit Altar
• Complete 3 Hunts (Wyvern, Golem or Banshee of any level)
• Summon once in Covenant Summon

Should you do all your dailies 27 days out of the month(should take about 15-30 minutes daily), you can get 1350 skystones monthly, which is enough to do 10 summons(buy the Covenant Booklet in the shop using 950 skystones) and have left overs for other stuff.

Heart of Orbis

If you max out Mirror of Light, you can get 9 skystones every 12 hours. Assuming you collect it once a day, you get 270 bonus skystones a month. This excludes the 30% triple reward chance from the reward building.

Daily Login (28 Days)

The login gives you 100 skystones every 6 days. In a month, you will get 400 skystones if you login for 27 days. You also get a free ML summon via 6 gold transmit stones after 28 days.

Abyss Tower

Abyss Tower rewards can only be gotten once and that’s it. Once you clear it, the only reward you get daily is bonus gold and stigma. I will be listing all the floors that contain the skystones. These will help you a lot if you can get them early.

• Floor 4 – 100 skystones
• Floor 15 – 200 skystones, 200k gold
• Floor 30 – 300 skystones, 300k gold
• Floor 45 – 500 skystones, 500k gold
• Floor 60 – 1000 skystones, 1 million gold
• Floor 75 – 1500 skystones, 1.5 million gold
• Floor 90 – 2000 skystones, 8 gold transmit stones

As you can see, the number of skystones you can collect here is very nice. Floor 45, 60, 75 and 90 requires good team compositions to clear, but the first 600 skystones from the lower floors are very easy to get by just playing the game.

Total here would be a whooping 4600 skystones.

Arena (PvP)

Last Update: March 28th 2019 Patch

Arena gives you consistent skystones weekly depending on your arena ranking.  The good thing is even as a new player, you would still be getting a good amount weekly if you can stay in Gold rank arena. That is very easy to attain once you have a roster of 5 star units. Fighting NPC characters also nets you 15 skystones daily if you take on 5 of them.

Weekly Arena Ranking Rewards

• Bronze – 150-210 skystones
• Silver – 225-285 skystones
• Gold – 300-360 skystones
• Master – 450-490 skystones
• Challenger – 600-640 skystones
• Champion – 800+

Champion and higher is a bit out of reach for most F2P players. Gold and Master is more realistic for beginner players. Gold rank means at least 1200 skystones a month. Master nets at least 1800 skystones, which is almost enough to do 20 summons a month if you want to pull units. If you choose to do the NPC battles, that is an extra 450 more a month.

Automation Tower

This one gives 500 skystones once you are able to get to floor 95. For new players, you can get to 55-60 pretty easily, so that is a free 200 skystones a month.

Hunts

Wyvern, Golem and Banshee hunts now drop some skystones as well. It drops very little though, like 2-4 based on my experience so far. Not the fastest way to earn it but it does add up overtime.

Summary

So we are going to do an overall sum of all the skystones to give you a good idea of how much you can get early on. Now let’s assume you get your basic team of 5 to 6 characters to max level 5 stars and can clear adventure mode 10-10 normal. Below is what you can expect to get early on in your first 30 days of gameplay as a casual player.

• 1350 skystones from daily quests (assuming you skipped 3 days)
• 400 skystones from daily login
• 3560 skystones from completing normal adventure mode
• Ãbout 300 skystones from reputation objectives
• 600 skystones from Abyss Tower (pass floor 30)
• 180 skystones for Gold V in the arena
• 270 skystones from Heart of Orbis
• 200 skystones from Automation Tower

You would expect to get at least 6820 skystones. That is me being conservative and leaving out NPC arena and some reputation quests. We are also not including covenant bookmarks gotten from playing. Those are strictly for summoning characters.

How to Spend These Skystones?

There are a few ways to spend them. It also depends on where you are at in the game. Here are my recommendations on how you should spend it depending on your situation.

Building Your Core Team

If you were unlucky and not able to get any decent pulls after your selective summons, then it is a good investment to spend some skystones here. Just make sure to always get the Covenant Bookmark bundle for 950 skystones for 10 summons.

What do I mean by core team? You need a strong roster of 6-8 characters that can do all PvE content for you. Once you have solidify these units, then any other bonus characters you get are just icing on the cake. You will need characters in the following positions:

• DPS (Single Target or AoE)
• Buffer (Attack/Defense/Speed/Crit RateUp/Debuff Immunity)
• Healer (Heals, Regen)
• Cleanser (Remove debuffs)
• Dispel (Strips enemy buffs)
• Debuffers (Defense/Attack Down, Provoke, Unhealable etc.)
• Tank (High Hp and Defense)

When your team has at least filled all roles among 4-8 characters, you can invest in the core team that you use to do most content with. For example, if you were incredible unlucky in pulling, the F2P team will actually cover a good portion of the team:

DPS (Single Target)

Lorina

Commander Lorina

The top single target DPS unit for F2P players. Her specialty change turns her into a good DPS with some survivability. With defense break on the enemy and attack buff on her, she can do a lot of damage, sometimes over 25k+ if you have the gear requirements.

Alexa

Acquired through connections and can be a strong single target DPS unit if you don’t have any other options. However, this game is loaded with good DPS units such as Sez/Bellona/Cidd that she doesn’t usually see the spot light.

Dispel/Tank/Debuffer

Kluri

Falconer Kluri

Kluri specialty changes into Falconer Kluri and becomes a monster. Her skills don’t sound all that impressive but it does a lot for your team. She offers provoke, defense down and dispel all in 1 skill after specialty change. She also gives combat readiness to a random ally. Her passive also heals a small amount for the entire team, which is good in long fights.

Healer/Buffer/Debuffer

Hazel

Mascot Hazel

A decent healer that can apply unhealable debuff. A staple unit for Golem Hunt 9/10/11. She can also help out in most PvE content, including the Abyss Tower.

With specialty change, she improves the overall power of pure fire teams. A very niche unit but still very good.

Buffer/DPS AoE

Yuna

A bit hard to get, but you will eventually acquire her through farming via connections. She provides attack and speed buff and also has a useful AoE attack from her first and third skill.

Cleanser/Healer

Montmorancy

A budget debuff immunity unit that isn’t as good as Angelica, but she will do the job fine as long as you invest enough in her to survive.

Jecht

Jecht isn’t a burst healer. He offers regen heal over time + speed buff and automatic cleanse of 1 debuff every turn. He is very useful in long battles once you can get him to 150+ speed.

Debuffer/Poison

Kiris

One of the best 3 star units. She helps with tough Abyss Floors and also a staple Golem 9/10 unit. A must have for F2P players.

So to sum it up, even if you get nothing from your summons, the above units will get you through the game.

I do understand that people want their waifus and husbandos, so you can disregard my advice if that is what you are after.

Stamina for Progress

This is where I recommend you spend a good chunk of your skystones on. Sure, it has a poor investment rate of only 60 stamina with 30 skystones, but it will help you get more 6 star units faster and also progress further into the game.

You can also use Leifs gotten from the game and convert them to stamina, but I usually use those for Labyrinth ticket instead.

Shop Refresh (For Your First 85 Gear)

A rare shop refresh that yields a good equipment

Last but not least, shop refresh is another great place to spend skystones on getting your first level 85 gear. Once you get your secret shop level to 10 (at rank 50), you can start doing so, looking for decent 85 white/green/blue) equipment to buy. Keep in mind you also need a surplus amount of gold of at least 3 million to buy a few decent pieces. Most of the tier 6 (85+) equipment costs 1.4 million gold. Tier 5(70+) are about 1.1 million gold.

Don’t go overboard with shop refresh as it is just a means to get the first few gears for the main stat boost on your right side gear so you can proceed to do boss hunts 9-11. There is where you farm for good right side accessories and craft good boots.

I suggest you prioritize buying in this order:

• Necklaces and Rings with percentage main stats (Atk%, Crit R%, Crit D%, Hp%, Def%)
• Boots (Speed, Atk%, Hp%, Def%)
• The rest

High level necklaces and rings can only be gotten from Labyrinth Raid and Boss Hunt 9 to 11. So your only other reliable source would be the secret shop.

Welcome to the combat readiness (CR in short) guide for beginners! In this post, we will go over what that is and why you will need to pay attention to it. CR allows you to change the tide of the battle and it is especially important in the arena and certain PvE content such as Wyvern or Abyss Tower.

How Combat Readiness(CR) Works

Combat readiness is a mechanic that can change the turn order in a battle phase. It is one of the best or worst things that determines the tide of a battle. You can either increase or decrease combat readiness of you or the enemy.

Righteous Thief Roozid gives increased combat readiness to the team, allowing Rose to jump ahead of the turn queue to further boost her team with more combat readiness and allow them to attack.

The key thing to pay attention to is that increasing your own or your team’s combat readiness is always effective. Decreasing combat readiness of your enemy/enemies can be resisted, so it does not always work.

As you can see above, Shadow Rose was able to push her team forward with the increase combat readiness, but her decrease combat readiness on the Wyvern failed as he is immune to combat readiness decrease.

So if you have characters that boost combat readiness, it is always the better option. We will be going over various units that can manipulate turns via increase/decrease combat readiness in a later section.

Now do keep in mind that speed and combat readiness works differently.

Speed determines who gets to go first when everyone starts at the beginning of the starting line. The faster the speed of your character, the better the odds they get to move first. If you character has very high speed (200+), sometimes they can still move first even if a slower unit has gained some combat readiness to jump the queue. So speed is still very vital!

For example, if your character has 150 speed, then another character that has between 145 to 155 speed can either go before or after you. The 20 speed variance will always be there. So sometimes you will see some of your slower units going first.

Update: The range is +/- 5%

In order to avoid this, you will want to make sure that your fastest character always has 10+ more speed than your second fastest character. This will ensure that he/she will always be first to move. However, once in a blue moon, the speed RNG factor will still make your slowest unit go first. I have had that happen before, but very rarely.

How Important is Combat Readiness?

Combat readiness is extremely important, particularly in PvP arena. In the current meta, whoever goes first will usually win the match. Until the meta switches to a tank meta, speed and increase/decrease combat readiness will always reign supreme.

Who Are The Best Characters That Boost Combat Readiness?

As the current time of writing, there are a few that are really good. Some of them are F2P friendly characters that you can get, so don’t worry about not being able to compete! Below is an example of a list of characters that also offers increase/decrease combat readiness.

All of the above units are quite common to find in the arena, especially on offense. Judith is a bit of an underrated one as not too many people know much about her greatness just yet. I highly recommend you check out YDCB and TKGallant’s Master/Challenger arena videos as they explain to you how the battle works and are very informative.

The Breath of Orbis is an item you can get from clearing specific locations on the campaign map. It allows you to build or upgrade your sanctuary to unlock various bonuses that will help you on your journey to becoming more powerful in the game.

Sanctuary

Since you will be getting a total of 16 Breath of Orbis, you will want to prioritise which buildings to upgrade first. Now the first 6 are easy to get as you can get them fairly early on in the game. The Cidonia ones are a bit harder to get since you need a better team.

Heart of Orbis

This is the center of your kingdom that hold and generate resources. Your first 2 orbis will be spent here. Uprading buildings from costs are below:

• Lv 0 to Lv 1 -> 20,000 gold
• Lv 1 to Lv 2 -> 60,000 gold
• Lv 2 to Lv 3 -> 100,000 gold

Here are the options you can have for upgrading.

1) Forest of Souls

This is the place to breed the following items:

Penguin Nest – 1★/2★/3★ Flame/Ice/Earth Penguins for leveling your characters . Also part of the daily quest that you need to complete.

Mega Phantasma

Giga Phantasma

Tera Phantasma

Spirit Well (12 hours) – This gives you fodders (2★/3★ Phantasmas) that helps you promote more units to a higher grade. Phantasma’s gets 10% bonus experience when you level them in battle. The only downside is that you can only train 1 of each type at a time. So you cannot stack same element Phantasmas while leveling. You can level a silver, light and dark Phantasma in 1 team though!

MolaGora Farm (18 hours) – A place to plant MolaGora seeds for MolaGora, which is a skill enhancer to improve the levels of your character skills. The MolaGora seeds can be gotten from special events, arena shop via conquest points, guild shop via guild points. You can also buy a full MolaGora via 15 transmit stones from the shop as well.

2) High Command

This is the place where you can send characters to 2 dispatch missions to earn experience and other rewards without having to fight an actual battle. Level requirements for

Here are your available options:

• Sanctuary Mission – Provides experience and Gold.
• Adventure Mission – Provides experience and Sigma Tokens.
• Hunt Mission – Provides experience and Ancient Coins.
• War Mission – Provides experience and Conquest Points.

As you upgrade the buildings, you get more options. I suggest unlocking 1 of each to get the 1 stamina 2 hour quest, which has really good value for the return it gives. They also require a low level 10 character requirement, which is very nice as you can use 3 star units for this.They are the following:

• [1-Cooking 1] Fine Dining -> 1450 Exp, 9500 Gold
• [2-Espionage 1 ] Explore the Sage Tower’s Labyrinth -> 1450 Exp, 29 Sigma Tokens
• [3-Cooking 1] Sponsor Party Preperations -> 1450 Exp, 10 Ancient Coins
• [4-Espionage 1] Trap Removal – 1450 Exp, 10 Conquest Points

Keep in mind a lot of the 3 star characters are great for these missions as they have reward bonuses speciality that will increase the resources and experience you get. It is best to put 4 characters in there for the bonuses. Getting up to 30% bonus resources adds up overtime!

3) Steel Workshop

This is where you craft good equipment for your characters. You need to obtain the materials from either Wyvern, Golem or Banshee to craft various tiers of equipment. You can only craft weapons, chest, helmet and boots. Accessories can only be gotten via spirit stone shop and other special events or labyrinth.

When it comes to upgrading buildings, you can do:

• Extend Workshop -> Reduces the gold required to craft by 10/20/30%
• Blacksmith’s Dormitory -> Reduces material resources required to craft by 10/20/30%
• Artisan’s Furnace -> Improves chance to get Epic items.

I think this is not a big priority until your player level is 55+ and have a roster of 10+ five star units before this becomes relevant. Crafting is resource intensive and can be very random.

4) Alchemist’s Steeple

This allows you to now craft charms, trade in common catalysts for epic catalysts and trade lower level hunt materials to higher level ones. I highly suggest getting the laboratory to level 3 so you can get epic catalysts weekly. The new continent Cidonia also gives more Breath of Orbis.

There are also 2 new options you have with the latest update. You can now use equipment conversion to get another piece of gear by trading in other gear pieces and the specific essense to craft it. You can get the essenses from fighting the World Boss and also from the transmit stone shop. It will cost 15 transmit stones, but you can chose the gem (which allows you to choose what main stat you want on the gear).

Exclusive equipment for various heroes can also be crafted here. You will need exchange roughly 8 of other exclusive equipment to get another one that you chose. I would not recommend to do this unless you have a lot of spare equipment laying around.

Sanctuary Upgrade Priority

Here are my recommendations for upgrade priority:

• Upgrade Forest of Souls Level 3 first so you can grow penguins and phantasma’s easily every day for faster character promotion.
• Upgrade High Command buildings 1 level each for the 2 hour quest.
• Upgrade Cradle of Life to level 1 to store 12,000 gold and 3 skystones
• Upgrade Alchemist Steeple’s Laboratory and Ingredient Storage using the Cidonia’s orbis for end game

These should be good for most and the rest are situational depending on where you are at the game.

I also suggest Steel Workshop upgrades last since you won’t be needing that until you can do Hunts above level 8.
