Tier List Description

Eaton is a great Guild Wars and Arena unit due to his 75% taunt and damage reduction for an ally. You will want high health and on a counter set to make him extremely annoying to fight against.

On a counter set, you will mitigate his low speed disadvantage and be able to taunt enemies often. He needs to be paired with a healer and a DPS to make a viable Guild Wars team on offense that is safe to use against dark units.

These days, though, Eaton doesn’t see a lot of use anywhere. He’s just a general raw tank in PVE (there’s no one place he shines in, including the Hunts), and in PVP he’s niche and mostly outshined by Troublemaker Crozet now.

Build Notes

It’s incredibly easy to get HP into Eaton. Since he already has very high base HP, all you have to do is focus on 3 substats – HP%, DEF%, and Resistance%. You don’t even really need Speed or Resistance on him, but it is still nice to have. The stats to aim for is about:

  • At least 30,000 HP (35,000+ optimal)
  • 1,400 Defense
  • 120~ Speed
  • Any Resistance% okay

As stated, Eaton is very easy to build, since you’d have to only worry about his HP for the most part.

RECOMMENDED ARTIFACTS

Proof of Valor
Damage Reduction
[Acquired in Guild Shop] Reduces the damage that he takes. One of the best artifacts to use on him, as it's considered to be steady damage reduction.
Sword of Ezera
Less Damage in PVE
[Acquired in Hall of Trials] Good for if you're using him as a tank against PVE bosses. However, that in itself isn't really recommended (see his description), and this artifact isn't usable in PVP.
Noble Oath
More Defense & Resistance
Increases his DEF and Resistance even more as he's attacked, meaning that it eases up the gear requirements on him a little bit.
Adamant Shield
Less Crit Damage
Now his teammates take even less damage. Adamant Shield simply decreases the amount of Crit DMG% that's taken, instead of transferring the damage to Eaton.
