Should I Pull for this Character?
Everyone has a reason for picking the units they use. Whether it’s “To be competitive in Guild War, Arena, or RTA”, “To speed through hunts”, “To make an effective raid team”, or simply, “This character is cute, so I use it”, you can find a place for your favorite creepy doll if you want to make room for her.
Her major selling point is her unique Magic Nail ability, which turns any battle against a million HP unit into “Survive X Turns: The Game”. It’s also one of the few irresistible status effects in the game. If a unit needs to be debuffed for some reason or another, Magic Nail ignores the inherent 15% effect resist that all other debuffs are subject to.
A gimmicky selling point is her enormous multipliers to her skills and soul burn. There are plenty of videos of Chloe dealing over 130,000 damage to units (with exhaustive setup). If you’re into big numbers, Chloe will make that happen for you.
Her biggest drawback is that she’s unreliable in PVP, compared to other single target nukes. The most notable example is Yufine, who is a staple go-to vs the ubiquitous Seaside Bellona and Charles. Et ceteris parabis, Yufine will outdamage Chloe on turn one 100% of the time, and gets an extra turn on her soulburn. Chloe beats Yufine when she gets the extra turn from Magic Nail, and that’s only 50%. Imagine fighting Violet and Assassin Cartuja every time you used this character. Even if she got 100% extra turn, Chloe’s damage would be restricted to one target, as she’d be using S3 on the same target she used S2 on; whereas Yufine can kill one target with S3, then move on. That’s Chloe in PVP.
As for Selective Summon, she’s one of the better choices. Every other five star unit in the selective pool has since been rendered replaceable. Guides that used to insist, “Reroll until you get Angelica + Vildred!” are obsolete. Vildred is one of the best farmers in the game, but Lena is also a great farmer, and in the three star pool. Angelica is a great healer, but the meta has shifted away from immunity towards cleansing, which means you’ll see people arguing that Angelic Montmorancy is just as good or better than Angelica. Chloe is the only unit in the game that does Magic Nail, and that is just overpowered in high end PVE content.
That is not to say “Chloe is S tier selective summon unit! Get her or else!”. It’s only to reassure you if you’re on the fence about keeping a selective roll with Chloe in it.
Base Stats (Fully Awakened):
Attack – 1177 (Above Average)
Defense – 553 (Below Average)
HP – 5542 (Average)
Speed – 119 (Exceptionally High)
Critical Chance – 27 (Above Average)
Because of her high base speed, she can more easily cycle through her skills quickly, or even race Auxiliary Lots or other CR pushers if that’s your goal.
Many Chloes you’ll see out there, however, are built to take advantage of her massive skill multipliers. The synergistic effect between a 3.5x multiplier on soul burn, a flat 35% bonus if the target is affected by Magic Nail, and her high inherent offensive stats, means that it’s easier (and more fun) to have Chloe built in such a way that she can one-shot every hunt.
Playing with Dolls : One Punch Girl

This build has some speed, making her not entirely reliant on support units

A.Lots with Tagahel, OG. Lots with Midnight Bloom. Welcome to “The Chloe Show” in PVP!

Shots like this are fun, but require setup, and are not practical for normal play.
OHKO Chloe:
Attack/Critical set
Destruction/Critical set
Rage/Critical set
Uberius’ Tooth, Creation & Destruction, Daydream Joker, Alencinox’s Wrath Artifact.
50% extra turn Exclusive Equipment.
Attack% and Critical Damage are your number one priority after getting Critical Chance to 100%, either via gear, or with the assistance of Midnight Bloom, Furious, or Challenger Dominiel.
Effectiveness has no place on Chloe, unless you’re using her Exclusive Equipment that either strips buffs or applies Defense Break. Magic Nail cannot be resisted, and thus, has no need for that stat. The 50% extra turn EE is so much more useful, and allows so many more points to be distributed in other stats, that this guide will be focused around using that one.
Defensive stats can be wholly ignored if you’re building a nuke.
One-Shot Chloe Teams:
For Hunts
High Prioirty : Attack Up, Defense Break, Target
Situational : Critical Boost, Tagahel’s holder, Combat Readiness Push
Example teams:
Rose (CR Push, Atk boost)
Wanda (Target – Can hold Song of Stars)
Luna (Def break)
Chloe (Best Girl)
Wanda’s 80% chance to Target every turn, and Luna’s 100% chance to Defense Break on S3 make it very likely that the enemy will always be ready to receive the hammer. Add Song of Stars to Wanda for more reliable debuffing.
Auxiliary Lots (CR Push, Atk boost – Can hold Tagahel’s)
Furious (50% critical chance, Def break – Can hold Song of Stars)
Chloe (Makin’ this look good)
This leaves a fourth slot open for a healer, Wanda/Watcher Schuri/Seaside Bellona for a more reliable Target,Taranor Guard for more Defense Breaks, or a cleaver to sweep the first round of a hunt. Another bonus of this team is that Furious’ 50% critical chance boost allows Chloe to save a lot of points for attack and critical damage.
For PVP
High priority : Combat Readiness Push, Attack Up, Tagahel’s Ancient Book
Situational : Defense Break, Buff Strip, Critical Boost
!WARNING!: Chloe is a risky unit to use in PVP in any capacity. She is the epitome of high risk-high reward, which is something people tend to avoid at higher levels of play. The bulk of her damage is dependent on activating the 50% extra turn on her EE, and she requires extensive support to really shine. If you don’t set up a magic nail, Yufine does Chloe’s job better. Â
Example Teams:Â
Auxiliary Lots (CR Push, Atk boost – Can hold Tagahel’s)
Chloe (Long live the queen!)
A simple two-man combo that leaves slots open to counter other threats. The importance of Chloe in PVP is her ability to erase a unit in one shot. As such, using soul burn on a target that has no magic nail on it might be a decision worth making.
If you’re a gambler, or if you think it’s the only way you can win, you can use her 50% extra turn Exclusive Equipment and open with a magic nail. There is not a single character that will survive a one-two punch from Chloe with attack boost and soul burn.
Basar (Buff strip, CR Manipulation – Can hold Tagahel’s)
Tywin (Defense break OR Attack/Crit/CR boost OR both, if soul burned)
Chloe (BANG! BOOM! EXPLOSION!)
While this isn’t the usual capacity you see Tywin operating in, he makes an amazing support unit for the queen of everything. If Chloe is attack buffed and her desired target is defense broken, she won’t need to soulburn or magic nail to pop a unit with her S3. This is doubly true if she’s had 50 points of critical chance freed up to place in other stats.
Playing with Dolls : Gotta go Fast!

229 Speed when Ranon is fully charged. Great for Azmakalis. Good for Abyss.
Fast Chloe:Â
Speed/Critical set
Speed set
Ranon’s Memorandum (PVE), Uberius’ Tooth, Creation & Destruction, Daydream Joker Artifact.
50% extra turn Exclusive Equipment.
Similar to Nuke Chloe, you’ll want to get her critical hit chance to 100%. Past that, however, Speed becomes your number one priority. Attack and critical damage are still great, as the multipliers need something to multiply. With this build, you’d focus on her blistering speed. She gets 29 speed from a speed set and 23 from a +30 Ranon, which is more than most other units.
Ideal gear will have Speed, Atk%, Critical Chance, Critical Damage.
FAST CHLOE TEAMS :Â
For Hunts
High Prioirty : Defense Break
Low Priority : Attack up, Target
Example teams:
Angelica (Heal, Tank)
Luna (Def break)
Chloe (Wyvern has a restraining order on her)
Your first thought might be, “For what possible reason would I want to use a lower damage Chloe against wyvern?”, and the answer is Autobattle. When wyvern uses his barrier, he strips all his debuffs, which includes Magic Nail. A faster Chloe will get the nail back on him faster. Wyvern also has 207 speed, which means he will have a lot of not-nailed time vs a slower Chloe.
Wyverns with barriers are also less likely to kill your three man auto team if Chloe can get her nail back faster, allowing your naked level 21 Mega Phantasma to do significant chip damage.
Tywin (Buff, Tank, Defense Break)
Montmorancy (Healer)
Taranor Guard (Defense Break)
Chloe (Not Alexa)
Chloe really likes Tywin a lot. Even though she doesn’t need the CR push as much, attack buffing your DPS in this fight is always welcome.
For Raids
High Prioirty : Healing, Debuff removal, Anything to help survive a long match.
Also: Immunity, Defense boost, Revival
Achates (Healer, Debuff strip)
Aither (Healer, Debuff strip)
Ravi (Tank, AoE for Karkanis)
Chloe (Are you in love yet?)
This team is 32 morale, which is enough to let you clear all five bosses in Azmakalis with three entries.
Even with two healers, a low DPS Chloe, and a Ravi focusing on Def/HP/EffRes, 100% uptime on Magic Nail allows her to say, “Hey! You know what everyone on this team needs? Daydream Joker!”.

Chloe and friends taking a break after killing Devourer Arahakan
Of course, you may not be able or willing to build Aither. Fortunately, another popular three star healer exists that can help fill the gap!
Angelic Montmorancy (Healer, Debuff strip)
Angelica (Healer, Immunity) **WARNING! USELESS VS KARKANIS**
Ravi (Tank, AoE for Karkanis)
Chloe (SSS Imprint for the sweet attack boost)
Another 32 morale team that will allow you to roll through normal raid in three entries, but is likely to have more difficulty with Karkanis. If Chloe gets debuffed (and she will), she won’t be able to drop nails on the boss, as a miss will just strip the nail immediately, giving her two more turns of no-nail-time vs a boss whose primary source of death is Magic Nail.

Example Teams:Â
Rose (CR Push, Atk boost)
Chloe (Drop the hammer!)
Challenger Dominiel (CR push, Critical boost – Can hold Tagahel’s)
This Guild War team uses a lower CR push from Rose, as she doesn’t need the full 80% from Auxiliary Lots that slower nukes do, freeing him up for another team (or if you don’t even have him). CDom gets 25% push from Rose, then another 10% or 20% from Chloe, depending whether or not Chloe hits her 50% EE.
Rose S3. Chloe S2>S3 (or Soulburn S3). CDom S3>S1. The lynchpin of this team is Rose. Make her fast and you’ll get two or three attacks with attack buffed units at Rose’s speed, provided Chloe’s speed is at least 80% of Rose’s, and CDom’s is 60-70% of Rose’s.
Alencia (Def boost, Debuff strip, lures red units to attack her)
Chloe (Still the best)
Melissa (Two attacks, immortality bait Krau and other blue threats)

Pictured: Team Smol fighting The Cool Kids. Alencia 210 speed, Chloe 190 speed.
Even if Alencia fails to strip Kayron’s immortality, she’s still a preferred target for him. If she’s built sufficiently tanky, Kayron will strip his own buffs, as he should be unable to kill her.
Melissa’s 2-turn easily kills Charles, provided she doesn’t get her posture corrected.
Chloe can knock Kayron into his immortality.

Pretend Seaside Bellona is here. Alencia 210 speed, Chloe 190 speed.
In this situation, Alencia starts with S3, gives Defense Up to the team.
Chloe hit SSB with S2, did not proc her extra turn.
Melissa S3 SSB, SSB counters and hits the team.
Since Melissa is red, she took the most damage from SSB, and became the preferred target for Apocalypse Ravi, who failed to kill her due to immortality.

Playing with Dolls : Tank Girl

If you do this, your friends will make fun of you….

…Until you clear one of the hardest abyss floors with it.
Tank Chloe:Â
Speed/EffRes set
Speed/HP set
Speed set
Ranon’s Memorandum (PVE), Strak’s Gauntlet, Creation & Destruction, Daydream Joker Artifact.
50% extra turn Exclusive Equipment.
Ideal gear will have Speed, EffRes, Defense%, and HP%.
Tank Chloe serves two primary purposes. Confuse your opponent, and survive in Abyss.
In Abyss, bosses will have upwards of 500,000 HP. If the rest of your team is support staff, losing your Magic Nail means losing the fight. Sacrificing a few thousand points of damage in exchange for securing Chloe’s survival over the duration of the fight will allow you to win fights you otherwise might not have been able to, albeit slowly.
In RTA, your opponent will see Chloe and assume she’s going to drop a big hammer on one of your units, so they’ll use their single target nuke to try and take her down. Or they might throw an attack buff on green Vildred and S3 (normally a good play), assuming he’ll kill Chloe and get his second attack, only to be surprised when it moves over to the next turn.
