[01/21] Archdemon Shadow, New Automaton, and Hero Balancing!

Overview

Hello, Epic 7 players! Today, we have a very big patch note! Not only is Archdemon’s Shadow being released (still wish her s3 got a better animation), but there’s also a Hero Balancing Patch! Say hello to the new Haste, who hates Earth Elementals and gives Bleeding out like it’s candy! Don’t forget, Automaton Tower has also been redesigned completely!

Patch Notes

1. Hero and Artifact Balance Adjustments

Certain Heroes will have a balance adjustment applied! Create new strategies with these Heroes!

※ The probability and Cooldown values are based on the maximum skill enhancement available.
※ Skills that do not specify a Cooldown adjustment will maintain the same Cooldown period as before.

■ Briar Witch Iseria (5, Dark, Ranger) 

– The effect for Witch’s Curse will be changed.

– The effect for Cursed Thorn will be changed.

■ Specimen Sez (5, Light, Thief)

– The effect for Dreamy Iron Mace will be changed.

※ After the developer notes that were previously released, the Combat Readiness increase condition, “when the target is Stunned” has been changed to “when the target is stunned after the attack.” Conditions are eased to increase the Combat Readiness even after attacking an enemy with Dreamy Iron Mace that has been stunned by an ally as well.

– Damage dealt by Evil Claws will be increased. The effect for this skill will be changed.

– The effect for Light Storm will be changed.

■ Kawerik (5, Fire, Mage) 

– The effect for Dimensional Corridor will be changed.

– The effect for Dimensional Explosion will be changed.

■ Haste (5, Fire, Thief) 

– The effect for Envoy’s Scythe will be changed.

–  The conditional increase in the amount recovered by Blood Rend will become unconditional.

– The effect for Vampiric Seal will be changed

■ Yuna (5, Ice, Ranger) 

– The skill effect for Upgrade will be changed.

– The effect for Meteor Cannon will be changed.

■ Free Spirit Tieria (4, Light, Warrior) 

– The effect for awakened Energy Wave will be changed. Adjustments will be made so that she can use this skill first.

■ Silk (4, Earth, Ranger) 

– Damage dealt by Storm Arrow will be increased.

– The effect for Concentration will be changed.

■ Khawazu (4, Fire, Warrior) 

– The Soulburn effect for Flame Strike will be changed.

※ Adjustments were made to the Soulburn effect following the Developer Note that was previously released. The number of Souls consumed was adjusted from 20 to 10.

– The effect for Composure will be changed.

■ Captain Rikoris (3, Light, Warrior) 

– The effect for Supreme Spear will be changed.

■ Flower Shower (4, Artifact Warrior-exclusive)

■ Automaton Tower Renewal Details

1. Period: 2 Weeks

– The Automaton Tower will reset every two weeks, on Monday according to the server reset time.

2. Unlock Condition

– Each Level in Automaton Tower will have different Unlock conditions.

– Players will need to satisfy either condition A or condition B.

※ Automaton Tower Level 1 will be available according to Condition B for the players who unlocked Automaton Tower before the January 21 update.

– Some changes will be made to the tutorial for unlocking Automaton Tower.

3. Levels

– Automaton Tower consists of 4 Difficulty levels (Level 1~4) and each Level has 25 Floors.

– Players can play through the Automaton Tower after selecting a Difficulty Level.

– In order to change the Difficulty Level, players need to reset the difficulty level.

– There is a difference in the rewards that can be obtained per level.

※ The number of Automaton Tower levels may be increased in the future.

4. Reset Level

–  In order to change the Difficulty Level, players need to reset the difficulty level. (Can be reset up to 3 times per season for free.)

– If you reset a level the devices obtained up to that point will reset and players can conquer the tower from floor 1.

– The Reset feature includes the following

① All Heroes including those defeated fully recover their Health

② Recover cost resets

③ All Devices you have acquired will be returned.

5. Other

– Some of the Monsters and Devices will be changed every time the Automaton Tower resets.

– The Health status of monsters and Heroes are saved after each battle in Automaton Tower. Also, Stigma can be used to recover Health.

– The more you recover the higher the cost.

■ Main Rules

– Players can conquer floors 1 to 25 after entering Automaton Tower and selecting a level.

– Players can see the rewards obtained and information of the devices equipped when they conquer a floor.

– Guardians and Pets cannot participate in battles. Players can enter using Energy.

– Each floor has 1 wave and players can move onto the next floor after acquiring devices and rewards from a conquered floor.

– After a battle, the Friendship level of heroes on the team will increase. The Friendship level increase will be improved at a later stage.

– When switching between Levels before clearing all the Floors in the previous Level, the Floors that have been cleared in the previous Level will not cost players Energy and will not provide rewards. or have Friendship increased upon completion in the current Level.

e.g. When switching from Level 2 to Level 1 after reaching Floor 10, Floor 1~10 in Level 1 will not cost Energy and will not provide rewards. Floors beyond Floor 10 will cost Energy and provide rewards.

– However, after conquering a battle, players can select and acquire a device again.

– If a player conquered the 25th floor then they cannot reset the level until the tower refreshes.

■ Devices

– Players can choose one device after successfully clearing a floor from Floor 1 ~ 24.

– Once a device has been acquired, it cannot be changed until the level is reset or conquered.

– Devices acquired on each floor can enhance stats of certain classes, attributes, heroes, etc. and take effect on all floors.

– Some devices are more efficient when duplicated.

– Players can view Devices available in Automaton Tower on the [Device Inventory] menu.

– The higher the level, the more powerful the Monster Enhancement Devices become.

■ Rewards

– The Automaton Tower Accessory Set will be rotated.

– The rotation cycle is the same as the Automaton Tower refresh cycle. (2 Weeks)

3. New 5 Hero – Archdemon’s Shadow

Archdemon’s Shadow, the manifestation of a corrupt emotion that permeates one’s most vulnerable parts will now be available.

Players can obtain her from Mystic, Covenant, and Moonlight Summons!

■ Archdemon’s Shadow Memory Imprint 

– Players can use the same hero, Unknown Slate or Time Spent as One to Memory Imprint.

* Purchase Condition: Can be purchased 5 times per account in Go to Shop > Transmit Stone after acquiring the 5★ Hero, Archdemon’s Shadow.

* How to Purchase: Go to Shop > Transmit Stone > Select Time Spent as One

* Cost: Gold Transmit Stone x10

– Players cannot use the 4★ Mercedes, Celestial Mercedes, or World Fragment as memory imprint material.

4. Cecilia & Rise of a Monarch Drop Rate Up

In this Drop Rate Up event, meet Cecilia, a Fire elemental Knight who protects allies and triggers debuffs on enemies. Players can also obtain the Knight exclusive Artifact, Rise of a Monarch, which increases the caster’s Defense and at the end of the turn, grants a barrier to the ally with the lowest Health excluding the caster.

5. Ludwig & Time Matter Drop Rate Up

In this Drop Rate Up event, meet Ludwig, an Earth elemental Mage who protects himself with Invincibility and a barrier, while also being able to attack all enemies with a powerful skill that penetrates Defense. Players can also obtain the Mage exclusive Artifact, Time Matter, which activates powerful effects after eliminating an enemy.

6. Other Improvements and Adjustments 

■ Skin Shop

– Elena’s skin, Starlit Melody will be added to the Skin Shop.

■ Hero and Artifact

– An issue where the effect of the 3★ Specialty Change Hero, Captain Rikoris’ Courage Rune was less than what was stated in the skill description will be fixed.

– An issue where the cooldown for Shining Star☆ was reset when the 5★ Artifact Bastion of Perlutia’s skill is applied to the 5★ Hero Tamarinne will be fixed.

– Improvements will be made to the AI for when 5★ Hero Yuna’s Homing Laser triggers a dual attack during auto-battle.

[ Targets that are not invincible → Boss→ Advantageous Elements → Target with low Health ]

– An issue where the 5★ Hero Ray’s voice when leveling up was not played will be fixed.

– Improvements will be made to highlight the enhance value in the Artifact skill description.

– The following changes will be made to the skill descriptions below. No functional changes will be made.

3★ Ains Gazelle Punch The text “Attacks the enemy and” that was omitted will be added.
3★ Mucacha Enlightened Blow Adjusted to clearly show when the Speed increase buff is triggered and to make the writing style for before and after Awakening similar.
4★ Khawazu Composure Adjusted to clearly show the trigger condition for the passive skill Composure.

 

■ Monster

– An issue where the enemy monsters did not die when you defeat the Boss Eaton who appears in Episode 2 [Chapter 7-9. Dawn Star Temple] will be fixed.

– Certain typos in the skill description for Lapis Rubeta’s Twisted Mana skill will be fixed. This monster appears in Episode 3 Chapter 1.

– Adjustments will be made so that the skill description for Forma of Destruction’s skill Uncontrolled Mana matches its function. This monster appears in Episode 3 Chapter 1. No functional changes will be made.

– An issue where the egg monsters did not die when you defeat the Boss Secretary Vera who appears in Raid Labyrinth Royal Capital Azmakalis (Hell) will be fixed.

■ Adventure and Story

– A new background will be applied to Episode 1 Chapter 3-4 Ki Ruburan.

– Certain typos in the hidden story for Episode 3 Chapter 5 will be fixed.

– The background for 3★ Hero, Adventurer Ras’ Specialty Change Story and the 5★ Hero, Bellona’s Side Story, Two Keys to Freedom will be exchanged.

– Improvements will be made so that tapping the back button after selecting Preview Skills and Yield will direct players back to the Hero Journal.

– The Artifact Journal will have the tabs [All Artifacts] and [Category] and players can sort Artifacts in each tab.

– Improvements will be made so that a notification is displayed if there are background packs that can be obtained from the Story Journal.

– An issue where the [Hero > Details] screen was briefly displayed when you tap the skip button in [Hero> Details > Hero Story > View Story] will be fixed.

– An issue where the back button did not work as intended when you open and close the right-hand side menu in Adventure and Side Story will be fixed.

■ Battle

– A marker will be added to easily identify Heroes that can be revived during a battle.

– An issue where Resistance was displayed when a dispel skill is used on a target that does not have buffs will be fixed.

■ World Arena

– An issue where an error screen was displayed when you select the 5★ Hero Archdemon’s Shadow in [World Arena > Preban] will be fixed.

– An issue where the 5★ Hero Vildred’s element was displayed as Fire instead of Earth in [World Arena > Battle Log] will be fixed.

– When a Hero is selected after a time limit has passed while waiting to be selected, the issue where a different Hero other than the actual selected Hero is displayed will be fixed.

■ Other

– Improvements will be made so that a pop-up window with the Guild info is displayed when you tap the area with the Guild name and Emblem of a different Guild.

– Improvements will be made so that players can scroll the screen when they tap the more button in [Guild > World Boss > Select Supporter].

– Improvements will be made so that the quick menu that is displayed when you select a certain pet in the Pet House displays as inactive when the pet’s affinity and level are at max.

– An issue where the amount of Leif owned is displayed as 79 will be fixed. This issue occurred when players used Leif to purchase Energy when their energy was low during an auto-repeat battle.

– Incorrect text that was displayed in [Shop > Pack > Welcome Back Pack] will be fixed.

– Improvements will be made so that up to 100 logs within 90 days of expiration can be displayed in [Mailbox > Log].

– An occasional issue where a different box is checked when you select auto in [Inventory > Equipment].

– Improvements will be made so that the [Extract] button on/off is immediately reflected depending on whether the item is locked or not when the item popup is opened in [Inventory > Equipment].

– Improvements will be made so that the game runs correctly on certain devices such as the LG Wing.

– The copyright text displayed on the title screen will be changed.
