[7/21 Update] New RTA Season, Sylvan Sage Vivian, and Sharun!

Overview

Hello, Epic 7 players! Today is a decent sized patch note – the dry spell of new units has been broken with the announcement of Sharun, our first new Soul Weaver in a little while. She’s set to release tomorrow, actually (which bypasses the week-long buffer between the announcement and implementation of RGB units), on the same day as Sylvan Sage Vivian. There will be a new RTA season, and the Holy Order of the Blue Cross & the Mysterious Island sidestory will be added to the Book of Chronicles.

Patch Notes

1. World Arena Conquest Season Begins!

The World Arena Pre-season will come to an end and the Conquest Season will begin!

We are excited for your fair and fierce competition this season!

■ Schedule

– The following is the schedule for the end of the World Arena pre-season and the start of the Conquest Season.

※ All the servers will follow the same schedule for the end of the pre-season and for the Conquest Season.

   ㄴ Eligible servers: Global/Europe/Asia/Korea/Japan

■ How to Enter

– Requires Account Rank 60 or above

– Participants must have more than 5 Heroes from each class that are starting grade 2★ or higher. (Except for Material Heroes / A total of 30 Heroes)

■ Conquest Season Background Pack

– Adjustments will be made to the World Arena entry banner, lobby, and battle backgrounds.

■ Conquest Season Rewards

– At the end of the Conquest Season, you will earn season rewards based on your final league grade.

Background Pack

– Players who have played a match in the World Arena Conquest Season more than once will receive a Background Pack. (Includes players who have not completed placements)

■ Victory Points Deduction Rules Improvements

– After the last Rank Battle in Gold League, elapsed time applied for Victory Points Deduction will be adjusted as shown in the table below.

– Improvements will be made to display the remaining time If you enter the World Arena within 24 hours before the Victory Points Deduction is applied.

– Instructions in [Help > Arena > World Arena] will be changed to match the updated information. 

2.  New 5★ Hero, Sylvan Sage Vivian 

A sage renowned for having the purest of mana and the greatest talent ever seen in the history of Orbis. 

She leaves the forest to save Cidonia from falling to ruin as the multiple factions and evil spirits each fight for their own personal gain.

The last of the sages fighting to save a collapsing world, Sylvan Sage Vivian will be available in Mystic Summons, Covenant Summons, and Moonlight Summons.

3. New 5★ Hero, Sharun

A high shaman from a family that has been serving Theranhad’s emperors since its founding. 

She has inherited the ability to foresee fragments of the near future. 

However, she feels guilty for not being able to protect the previous emperor and has thus pledged loyalty to the young emperor Zio.

4. New Artifact, Sacred Tree Branch

■ The Soul Weaver-exclusive 5★ Artifact, Sacred Tree Branch will be added.

※ The new Artifact, Sacred Tree Branch will be available from the Sharun & Sacred Tree Branch Drop Rate Up.

 – Once the Drop Rate Up ends on 8/4 (Thu) 03:00 UTC, the featured Artifact will be available from Covenant Summon, or by using Summon Tickets.

5. Side Story – Clouded Foresight

Sharun and the royal family visit the Summer Shrine for the emperor’s funeral, who died during the war against the Wicked. 

Since the emperor had not nominated a successor before he passed, the funeral is crowded with successor candidates aiming to sit on the throne.

Then, Sharun foresees a disastrous incident taking place inside the shrine…

■ How to Enter

Clear 10-10. Shrieking Hall in Episode 1

■ How to Play

Clouded Foresight is a two-week side story.

Clear side story stages, achievements, quests, and obtain event currency that can be exchanged for items.

* Urgent Missions may occur while playing the side story.

* In the Side Story area 2★ Monsters and catalysts can be acquired. Please see more at “Region Info”

[Event Currency]

[Enhanced Heroes]

* Enhanced heroes will have increased stats in the side story stages.

[Stage Difficulty]

– Players can select various difficulties on stage [10. Pessimism Plaza].

– Players may select a higher difficulty after successfully clearing the one before it.

– As the difficulty progresses, the amount of Energy needed to play will increase as well as the amount of event currency earned.

– Hell difficulty can be played up to 5 times during the side story period.

[MolaGora Habitat]

– Completing stage 10. Pessimism Plaza will unlock S. MolaGora Habitat.

– Players will be able to complete S. MolaGora Habitat once during the event period.

[Goblin’s Den]

– Completing stage 10. Pessimism Plaza will unlock S. Goblin’s Den.

– Players can complete S. Goblin’s Den stage once during the Side Story period.

[Exchange]

– Players will be able to exchange the event currency, Spiritual Wildflower, for items in the Exchange.

– Players will be able to exchange event currency for items up to one week after the Side Story ends. Unused event currency after that period will then be deleted.

6. Sharun & Sacred Tree Branch Drop Rate Up

In this Drop Rate Up event, meet the Earth Elemental Soul Weaver, Sharun, who can generate multiple buffs and can effectively counter enemies with high Health. Players can also obtain the Soul Weaver exclusive Artifact, Sacred Tree Branch, which increases Effectiveness and after using a basic skill, increases Combat Readiness of the ally except for the caster with the highest Attack.

7. Aramintha & Etica’s Scepter Drop Rate Up

In this Drop Rate Up event, meet Aramintha, a Fire Elemental Mage who increases her allies’ attack while containing the enemy by inflicting a powerful Burn debuff and stunning all enemies. 

Players can also obtain the Mage exclusive Artifact, Etica’s Scepter, which is able to reduce the skill cooldown of powerful skills.

8. The Book of Memories – The Holy Order of the Blue Cross and the Mysterious Island Update

The Special Side Story, The Holy Order of the Blue Cross and the Mysterious Island, will be added to The Book of Memories.

Players can purchase it using 1 Milestone in Time.  Purchased Side Stories will have no entry requirements.

– Go to [Lobby > Side Story > Book of Memories] or [Quick Menu > Side Story > Book of Memories]

■ How to Unlock

– Clear Episode 2 Chapter 10 stage 10-10. Twisted Core

■ The Holy Order of the Blue Cross and the Mysterious Island Cost

[Purchase Item]

– Location: Shop > Normal 

– Price: 900 Skystone

■ Story Progress and Stages

– This story will have the basic mechanics of other Side Stories.

– Players can replay stories via Story Replay on the main screen of the Special Side Story after clearing the purchased Special Side Story.

– Choices are not included in Story Replay and a set path will be provided.

– Players can receive the rest of the rewards upon reaching ‘Record Complete’ after clearing the story and achievements. Players will not be able to enter the Side Story map again.

– Stage Missions and rewards are not included in Special Side Stories purchased via <The Book of Memories>.

– Goblin Gates are not included in Special Side Stories purchased via <The Book of Memories>.

– Goblin and MolaGora Challenge stages and multi-difficulty stages are not included in Special Side Stories purchased via <The Book of Memories>.

■ Main Reward

– 4★ Artifact 「Super Duper Water Gun Shooter」

※ The AP Exchange is not included in Special Side Stories purchased via <The Book of Memories>.

■ Illustrations

– Players can see illustrations obtained from [The Book of Memories > The Holy Order of the Blue Cross and the Mysterious Island] in [Journal > Art Journal > Side Story > The Holy Order of the Blue Cross and the Mysterious Island].

■ Chronicles

– The Holy Order of the Blue Cross and the Mysterious Island will be added to [Side Story > See Chronicles].

※ For Heirs who have already reached Rank 50 or higher, the renewed pack will be available in [Shop > Pack] for seven days after they access the game from 7/28 (Thu) 03:00 UTC and onward.

■ Heroes and Artifacts

– The consistency of names displayed in Stories for Specialty Change Hero, Limited Hero, and Hero Skin will be improved.

– An issue where the Death voice for the 4★ Hero Karin and Blood Blade Karin were missing, will be fixed.

– An issue where the Burn effect chance for an attack that targets all enemies for the 5★ Hero Holiday Yufine’s skill, Just One Bite! ♡ on the caster’s turn was higher than that of a single attack when it was not the caster’s turn, will be fixed. In addition, an issue, where the Burn effect chance of Just One Bite! ♡ used on all enemies was displayed lower than the actual Burn effect chance, will be fixed.

 – An issue where when the animation for the 5★ Hero Seaside Bellona’s skill, You’re Not Cute is displayed, the blur effect on Android devices is not applied and the screen flickers when it is applied on iOS devices, will be fixed.

■ Adventure and Story

– Typos in some lines and some visual and sound effect errors in the main story of Episode 1, Chapter 2 will be fixed.

– An issue where the icon background for Quest Reward as an item and Quest Progress Bar overlapped in the area where the Artifact icon UI should be displayed when the Quest Reward is an Artifact in [Side Story > The Book of Memories Preview], will be fixed.

– An issue where the Help pop-up screen continued to be displayed and the screen pause resumed when entering [Pause > Option > Help] while the volleyball game is in progress in the Side Story The Sword and The Lord of Summer, will be fixed.

– An issue where a blank background was displayed instead of the main title screen when tapping a button that moves the screen back to the main title, such as the Logout or the change server button while the volleyball game is in progress in the Side Story, The Order of the Sword, and the Lord of Summer, will be fixed.

– An issue where when moving to the main screen of the Battle and Side Story from Quick Menu while the character is moving in a Battle in the Adventure, the Adventure area name was displayed instead of Battle and Side Story texts on the top left side of the screen, will be fixed.

ㄴ An issue where the name of the area before the character moved was displayed instead of the area the character moved to when the player returns to Adventure from the aforementioned state by tapping the Back button, will be fixed.

– An issue where Summertime Iseria, who appears as NPC or Supporter in the Side Story, The Order of the Sword, and the Lord of Summer, always triggered a Critical Hit when attacking, will be fixed.

– Adjustments will be made to change the stage icon after clearing stages, missions, or Reputations in some Side Stories.

– Adjustments will be made to display specific icons instead of displaying the Rep Hero when entering the last area in certain side stories.

■ Battle

– An issue where an ally Hero’s effect overlapped on top of the skill effect while the Hero disappeared when Incomplete Fastus uses skill 3 in Hall of Trials, will be fixed. This issue only occurs when there is a Hero in the team that has extra effect while waiting.

– An issue where Mistychain’s passive skill, Back Light’s icon was displayed as an active skill on the Boss Guide screen of Banshee Hunt Stage 13, will be fixed.

■ Album Side Story UI Improvements

– Improvements will be made so that the currency icon required to unlock the album on the album list is displayed.

– The currency icon will not be displayed when the album is 100% complete or locked.

■ Other

– An issue where the Equipment image was not displayed as locked immediately when locking it on the [Inventory > Equipment and Exclusive Equipment] screen, will be fixed.

– An issue where the Artifact image was not displayed as locked immediately when locking it after purchasing the Artifact from [Shop > Powder of Knowledge] or [Hall of Trials > Exchange > Other], will be fixed.

– An issue where the Specialty Change Skill Tree tutorial did not proceed properly when moving to [Enhance Skill Tree] after losing a battle in Adventure and after tapping [Details > Preview Skills > Yield] on the screen that displays the Specialty Hero right after Specialty Change is completed, will be fixed.

– An issue where a player could not move to AP Exchange by tapping one of the Catalysts listed on the Obtainable Rewards after moving to the Ready screen by tapping the Battle button on the Quick Menu, and Side Story, etc. while moving in the World Map Stage, will be fixed.

– An issue where a player’s World Arena tier was not hidden properly when checking the profile through other menus after hiding the World Arena tier in the profile, will be fixed.

– An issue where Notifications were displayed even when there are no Battles to participate in [Guild > Battlefield], will be fixed.

– An issue where margins on the main title screen were displayed asymmetrically on some devices, will be fixed.

– An issue where the app crashed after changing Media Pack and proceeding with downloading additional content on 32-bit app player, Android, and iOS devices, will be fixed.

– An issue where the app crashed when an alarm rang after setting up an alarm on Android 12 devices, will be fixed.

– Improvements will be made to allow players to change the location and functionality of certain keys on the keyboard on an iOS device.

– An issue where the screen was not displayed properly after playing the game in pop-up mode and exiting pop-up mode on an Android device, will be fixed.

– An issue where the app crashed when moving to the main title through a certain menu after changing to the pop-up mode and changing back to the full-screen mode on an Android 10/12 device, will be fixed.

– An issue where the same text was input twice when using a Mac device keyboard, will be fixed.

– An intermittent issue where some texts were not displayed properly on iOS devices, will be fixed.

– An issue where certain text in the game appeared blurry will be fixed.

– Adjustments will be made to the minimum iOS specifications for Epic Seven. 

■ Japanese Media Pack Integration

– The Japanese Media Pack used on other servers other than the Japan server will be updated to the Media Pack used on the Japan server.

  ㄴ How to select the Media Pack: Select the preferred Media Pack by going to [Settings > Language > Media Settings]

– If you change the Media Pack, the existing Media Pack will be deleted and the selected language’s Media Pack will be downloaded.

– If you have previously downloaded and used the Japanese Media Pack, you will have to download the Japanese Media Pack again after the update on 7/21 (Thu).

ㄴ Even if you download the Japanese Media Pack again, the previous version of the Japanese Media Pack that you downloaded will not be deleted.

※However, if you reinstall after deleting the game, the previous version of the Japanese Media Pack will be deleted.

 – If you delete the game and reinstall it, please do so after linking the account safely so that your account does not get lost.
