Shadow Knight Pyllis is a Dark Knight with the Horoscope Cancer that is excluded from summons.
Shadow Knight Pyllis
is the specialty changed version of
Pyllis.
Even better of a tank now
Can have up to a 75% Hit Chance on her s3 (95% with A Symbol of Unity)
Has provoke on her s1 and s3 (which directly helps increase her defense)
Dispels debuffs on her s3 now!
Still relies on every 4th attack to increase her allies' defense
Base speed's still a bit low
Can still get evaded on her s3, but it's a lot lower of a chance

Now that we’ve had some time to test out Shadow Knight Pyllis, the consensus is that she does her job a lot better, and fills in more roles too! Pyllis has always been an extremely high-defense bruiser unit, who specializes in Provoking and… well, defense-oriented content. With her specialty change and rune tree, she’s become much better at this job!
She kept her old “gains more defense whenever she’s hit” part of her passive, and increases the defense of her allies for every fourth hit she takes. However, the real benefits mostly come from her s3, Perceptive Slash (that doesn’t mean the rest of her kit isn’t useful – quite the opposite, actually), which removes a debuff from all allies before attacking her chosen enemy, Provoking them for a turn and granting a barrier on her allies for 2 turns, proportionate to her defense.
When you max out her skill tree, Perceptive Slash will gain a 45% increased Hit Chance rate, and she’ll gain an extra 30% Hit Chance in general. This means Perceptive Slash has a shocking 75% Hit Rate! Pair it up with A Symbol of Unity or Oath Key, and we’re looking at a 95% chance to land Perceptive Slash! This is incredibly useful in the meta of heavy-Evade units (such as Violet), as it can help target particularly pesky units and make them focus on Pyllis herself. Overall, Shadow Knight Pyllis has a nice spot in the meta as of this writing, and it’s worth doing her Specialty Change if you’re in late-game arena and struggling with Evasion units.
Unsurprisingly, you want Pyllis tanky. As much DEF% as possible would be optimal build for her, but you also want to make sure that she has HP% and SPD in her build as well. Using a Counter/Immunity build would be one of the best ideas for Pyllis (since she has Provoke and extra Hit Chance on her s1), but if you find yourself struggling with acquiring the ideal Pyllis build you can go for Speed/Immunity.
An ideal Pyllis build looks to be about:
Remember: the more Defense she has, the better!
Shadow Knight Pyllis has 3 skills. Skills can be passive or active.
Shadow Knight Pyllis's Perceptive Slash can be soul burned for extra effects.
More information can be found on our Skill Multipliers page.
First of all, you'll want to skill up her s2 all the way, so this way she gains more defense upon being attacked. Afterwards, skill up her s3 to +3 for the -1 turn cooldown. Finally, skill up her s1 to at least +4 for the full Provoke chance.
