Great vs non-attack skill teams and Hwayoung

S2 passive provides enrage + CR push

S3 dispel buffs + increase skill cooldown of highest attacker and gives attack buff after (ignores effect resistance when enraged)

S1 gets 2 attacks when he is enraged

Can counter certain non-attack teams (Peria, Ran etc.)

Can still lose to Hwayoung if he is slower (and Hwayoung uses his artifact)

Tier List Description

Update: 9/28/2022

With the new changes to his skill 3, he now ignores effect resistance when enraged, making him a premium counter to Peira and Hwayoung as it guarantees the buff strip. This means the RNG factor is gone compared to the old kit.

This means he is viable in Guild Wars and Arena against these two. His other skills remain the same. His damage is still sub-par with good gear but it is enough get the job done in dealing with the said units.

Build Notes

Taeyou can be built like any other damage-dealing unit. He needs pretty much the same stats that a DPS unit needs, with a healthy dose of SPD, ATK%, CRIT Rate%, and Crit DMG%. Taeyou is a speed-based unit, but his S3 doesn’t need Speed, weirdly enough.

His stats should look something like this:

  • 250+ Speed
  • 3,000+ ATK
  • 100% Crit Rate
  • 250%+ Crit Damage (More is always better)

He can be a bit stat hungry, though that’s to be expected.

RECOMMENDED ARTIFACTS

Draco Plate
More Crit DMG + Less Damage
[LIMITED ARTIFACT] Draco Plate's extra Crit Damage will always be useful to have, on top of the reduced damage that Taeyou will take on a critical hit.
A Symbol of Unity
More Hit Chance
[Acquired in Guild Shop] A Symbol of Unity is a one-size-fits-all artifact for damage dealers, and Taeyou is no different. He can always use the extra Hit Chance and damage.

First of all, you'll have to max out his passive for his -1 turn cooldown. After that, go for his s3 at least to +3 for the -1 cooldown, if not max it out for the extra damage. After that, you should aim for his s1 for extra damage, though it is optional.
