PROS & CONS

Damage absorber and is immune to stuns

Tanky and great in PvP as a frontline tank

Does well when he gets hit to extinct units + heal himself via S3

Deadly when paired with Iseria

Doesn't do much if he doesn't get focused on

Not very useful in PvE

Needs top gear quality to make him godlike

Tier List Description

Update: S3 now also applies extinction and he is immune to stun!

Dark Corvus is a tanky warrior that can use a strong single target attack that penetrate defense after some turns have passed depending on how many times he gets hit. This is very good against squishy teams that don’t do enough damage to kill him.

He works very well in PvP, particularly in defense teams with healers and tanks. Also in Guild Wars, he has kill potential in defense as well.

Due to his slow way of killing things, he isn’t a very popular character among newer players, but for veterans and higher level players in PvP, they do know that he is good in long battles. He scales very well with his HP.

Build Notes

When building Dark Corvus, you usually want to crank up your stats in HP%, Speed, and Effect Resistance. You’ll always want to make sure you get as much HP% as possible, but Speed and Resistance will depend upon each other. There’s no one-size-fits-all Dark Corvus build, but we can provide options. For example:

  • 30,000+ HP
  • 160%+ Effect Resistance
  • About 150+ Speed

This is a high-Resistance Dark Corvus build, versus a Speed build, which would have the same amount of HP, but with 230 speed and no real focus on Effect Resistance. Defense is not necessary for once, as he scales solely off his own HP.

Note: In either build mentioned, you can use Resistance% Rings if necessary, but you’d end up sacrificing HP if so.

RECOMMENDED ARTIFACTS

Debuff Removal
[Acquired in Hall of Trials] Since D.Corvus is going to be attacked a lot, you do want to make sure that he isn't debuffed to oblivion. You can use Timeless Anchor as a budget Crimson Seed.
Extra Resistance
Good for Dark Corvus builds featuring high Effect Resistance. Strak Gauntlet will be one of your best choices of Artifact for Resistance builds, because it drastically lowers how much Effect Resistance you need on your gear.
Combat Readiness
Allows him to get his turn faster once he reaches below a certain amount of HP. One of the better artifacts to use on him, to artificially increase his speed.
No Cooldown Chance
Not the most recommended artifact for him, because it's a very risky gamble, but could pay off in rare scenarios. Only used if you really want to, but shouldn't be considered over any of the other 3.

HERO BACKGROUND

Corvus was originally a soldier from Rose Apostles until something caused him to lose faith and grow disillusioned with the world, and how he only wishes for its destruction. However, he still contains a gentle side within him.
