Overview
With the new molagora changes for 3 star characters, you can upgrade 3 star characters using stigma and catalysts! So those precious molagoras can be saved for 4/5 star characters. Below are what I believe is good for new players to invest in depending on their luck for pulling natural 5 stars.
Healers/Supports
Angelic Montmorancy
Uses: Cleanser, Healer, Debuff Immunity, Guild Wars Bait, Abyss
Angelic Montmorancy is already a top tier unit as a cleanser, with a full upgrade, she will be healing a lot more and this really will help new players and I consider her the best healer right now for F2P players. She is also commonly used in PvP up to end game, so investing in her is a no brainer.
Requiemroar
Uses: Debuffer, Abyss
She brings attack down and defense break in her kit. With no element disadvantage, she can be used anywhere to land those debuffs, as long as you have enough effectiveness. She does have low health, but with the improvement for flat stats, you can use flat hp for both necklace and ring for better efficiency. Give her some speed, effectiveness and the Celestine artifact and she will help you out in many PvE content.
Doris
Uses: Healer, Damage Mitigation, Dark Corvus Bait, Abyss
Doris’s biggest strength is continuous heal and the defense buff, which can be soul burned for an extra 1 turn duration. She can definitely help early game to beef up your weaker units and mitigate some damage. She is also great against any dark attacker as she can tank a few hits for you. She is a bit slow, so you definitely want some speed stats on her.
Offense
Chaos Sect Axe
Uses: Defense breaker, Cleaver, DPS
Now that he can be maxed easily, his DPS will be easy to improve and he doesn’t have elemental disadvantage, so his defense break will land with good effectiveness. He also has attack down debuff + AoE attack, which can get you an extra turn if he is able to kill someone with it. A very good F2P option if you can pull him from ML summons!
Mirsa

Uses: DPS, Guild Wars Offense and Bait
She has been flying under the radar with her evasion mechanics. She scales with speed and as long as she evades, she will not get debuffed much. She also gains more evasion below 50% health. With Moonlight Dreamblade artifact and Assassin Cartuja, she can get up to 75% evasion. Pair them with any decrease hit chance character like Dizzy, Basar etc and she will be evading 100% of the time. With speed and attack buff, she will do quite a bit of damage.
Commander Lorina
Uses: Labyrinth, DPS, Abyss
Still the best single target DPS for F2P players. Her damage output is ridiculous due to her S2 passive. Without elemental disadvantage, she can be used in all sorts of content without worrying about missing. Once you can get her to 100% crit with 200%+ crit damage, her DPS output will be really good. As a warrior, she can also equip the Hell Cutter artifact to help lower the requirements for crit rate. She takes a long time to grind for the specialty change, so be prepared for it!
Taranor Guard
Uses: Budget Wyvern 11
Alongside Alexa, he is one of the best budget units for Wyvern. He has defense break on his S1 and at 75%, he can be used even at level 50. His S2 passive also increases his dual attack chance for more chances for defense break and increase team combat readiness. If you run a unity set on him, he will dual attack quite often. Pair him with any water ranger like Yuna or SS Bellona with Rosa Hargana or Infinity Basket artifact and you will start seeing some really satisfying dual attacks.
RT Roozid
Uses: PvP
Mainly for PvP combat readiness boost, he can now give 20% boost easily without having to use molagoras. If you are playing the speed game, then he is a must max, especially his S3. He can also be used in PvE as he has attack down and speed down. Both are quite useful, especially in the Abyss. But most people will sacrifice other stats for speed, so he is not often used in PvE.
Defense
Falconer Kluri
Uses: Tank, Defense break, Regen, Abyss
She is one of the most versatile tanks as she fulfills the role for offense and defense. If you build her fast and high health, not only can she keep soaking up damage, she can out heal the damage against slower enemies. Having 20k hp means at max S2 skill, she heals 2000 hp per turn. She can also defense break and strip enemy buffs, so she is very useful in both PvE and PvP content.
Chaos Inquisitor
Uses: PvP Water Bait, DPS, Tank
Chaos Inquisitor is great because he is a bruiser tank with decent damage. His best asset is his S2 passive. It allows him to tank 3 big hits before going down. This means you can bring a healer to keep him health. He can bait all kinds of water units like Krau and Luna. His S3 actually can hit quite hard if you give him a destruction set with high critical damage and 100% critical rate. He can still die to burns and poisons as it bypasses his passive, so be careful. 🙂
