Iseria Revisited – Review of the Utility Ranger

Table of Contents
Overview
With many new units coming out each year, Iseria has kept her usefulness due to her utility with 2 skills that have defense break and a solid skill 2 that resets ally cooldown. Add on to her ability to strip buffs and disable buffs on the enemy, she is a highly versatile hero that can be built different ways.

Arena Setup
I built her relatively fast without immunity set, but has lower survivability.
Now, let’s take a look at her current setups and some really good common team compositions that can help you win battles in either PvE or PvP.
Iseria + Tamarinne
One of the best combos for both PvE and PvP.
While this is not as potent in Guild Wars, but for Arena, this is really good since you can slot in 2 units to counter the enemy team. Iseria goes first, resets cooldown of Tamarinne and she can idol form right away for a giant 50% CR boost + team attack buff when skill is maxed out.
For PvE, this combo can carry you hard in many Abyss floors and also adventure mode. Unfortunately, not everyone will be able to pull both of them to enjoy how powerful it is.
The most common team for the Arena in this setup is 2 DPS alongside it. Depending on the enemy team, having AoE cleavers are also good.
Normally, you will want to have immunity set on both Tamarinne and Iseria if they are not very fast (170-200). However, if you can get both to the (220-250) range, then immunity set is not required.
Cooldown Resets on High Cooldown Units
The above units are very popular pairings, with the first 3 more for PvP. The Iseria + Dark Corvus pair is very useful against light heavy teams since he will be attacked consistently. Do keep in mind that you want to make sure he can take the punishment without dying. For example, if the enemy team has Little Queen Charlotte and another DPS, your Dark Corvus might not be able to handle the incoming damage unless you bring a reviver like Ruele or Shooting Star Achates.
Additional team members will depend on enemy team. Usually, a healer is brought to help sustain Iseria and Dark Corvus in a guild wars fight. For the arena, the fourth member is versatile and you can bring units that can help counter the enemy.
As for the Iseria + Watcher Schuri pair, it is good against tanky teams. The third party member here that is very good for this is Auxiliary Lots. With this, Watcher Schuri can take out 2 tanky units in 2 turns. Good in certain Guild Wars situations, but can fail if you don’t have enough damage to take out ultra beefy teams like Fallen Cecilia (Adamant Shield) and Lilias (Aurius) + DPS.
The latest pair is Iseria + Last Rider Krau. Due to how ML Krau’s 3rd skill works, a good 3rd member would be a healer to help sustain them in a longer battle. It is good against AoE teams and also allows ML Krau to quickly re-use his AoE ignore defense attack that scales up to 60% more damage after using it 3 times. So for example, if the enemy team has Seaside Bellona and ML Ken, it is very easy to get your skill 3 back quickly.
As for Iseria + Kiris, it is mainly for PvE Abyss. The Kiris cheese is very popular for Abyss floors 60 all the way to 100. Generally, a protect the Kiris composition is applied here. You have Iseria, Kiris + usually 2 healers or 1 Healer, 1 Knight with Aurius for protection. This allows her to apply up to 6 stacks of poison debuff quickly to the Abyss bosses and quickly annihilating them in the process.
Keep in mind any hero paired with her will increase their usefulness since they can literally reuse their skill 2 and 3 again.
Iseria as Selective Summon?
I think Iseria can be a good first pick that will set the tone for your E7 adventures. She is very versatile and is used in all areas in the game, ranging from PvE and PvP. Now that farming is a lot easier as you can start adding friends with good farmers as their lead. With the emergence of Lena (budget 3 star farmer), you no longer need to select Vildred or Sez as your primary farmer anymore.
Please do consider her if you are still starting out.
